Find Out Why You're Always Tired

Sometimes we are just overdoing it, trying to cram one too many things into the day. And that tired feeling is simply exhaustion setting in. Correcting our work habits and taking a day off here and there, could make the tiredness disappear.

But, if you are just maintaining a regular schedule, and the alarm going off begins to be a dreaded sound, you may have to investigate further. If you are going to bed at the usual time, eating normally and keeping your usual work schedule, unusual tiredness may signal something else.

Anxiety can create an overall tired feeling. When something is looming over you, or your concerns just won’t go away, a feeling of tiredness can be a natural outcome. If you talk it out, or get some help, you may suddenly feel like you have a lot more energy. Just assuming that worry is natural and tiredness is too, is an unwise choice. The pattern can become ingrained and lead to more negativism and less activity. Don’t wait. Get some help and start turning the pattern around.

Depression can also make you lose your energy. Every task seems like it is just too much trouble and the tendency to sleep more and more can take over. Depression can be sneaky. You may ignore the symptoms as you slip further off schedule and out of touch with those around you. If this sounds familiar, get some help now. See your doctor and recommended counselors to get the help that is needed.

Eating all of the wrong stuff will also catch up with you and cause your body to sag. Try having a protein breakfast, a healthy lunch, and skipping all the donuts and pastries. A lot of the tiredness can start with a poor diet. Fresh vegetables, fruits, lots of water and lean meats, fish or chicken can provide the running energy that your body is looking for.

But there are other more serious causes of tiredness that you should also be on the alert for such as heart disease, anemia, thyroid imbalances or viral infections. If your diet and sleep patterns are normal, but everyday tasks still wear you out, make an appointment with your doctor to do a complete checkup now.

Your doctor can do a readout of your numbers, and follow through with any needed treatment. Ongoing tiredness, may be just that, but when it persists a doctor’s checkup is essential.
