Healthy Tips To Fight That Overwhelmed Feeling

Nobody manages to feel great all of the time. But if this is the beginning of many days where you have felt overwhelmed and under appreciated, try a few changes.

Never waste time dwelling on the past or wishing things were different. If you want it to be different, start focusing on what you want to change and make a list of where you want to start.

Never run in circles trying to change unchangeable situations. Einstein said the definition of insanity is repeating the exact situation, and expecting different results. Try to assess quickly why a work or home situation did not work and then find a new solution and move ahead.

Never just hand over power. You are your own best judge of what you need and using the power you have to create and control your life will give you the satisfaction and the rewards that go with the effort.

Never reject change. We are all creatures of habit and we tend to build our own cozy little world. But today’s global pace and speed of change will seem a lot more rewarding and appealing if you stay open to the flow of new ideas and technology.

Never fall into the ‘pleasing everybody’ trap. No one really can please everyone and in the process you may forget to please yourself, and worse, forget who you really are.

Never hesitate to take reasonable risks. The only way to move ahead and accomplish what you want is to take the risks that go with change. Do your homework before you move and then move ahead.

Never let the past rule your present approach. Those people who repeat everything because it was always done that way are giving up the pleasure of creating something new, and running the risk of being overtaken by others who are always thinking about what can be done faster, cheaper or more efficiently.

Never fear to be alone. If you are doing it right alone can be a time to drop back and clear your head, enjoy a hobby or a great book, or do some brainstorming on a project you have been thinking about. Alone can be a time where you turn down the volume and let your own thoughts and ideas surface.

Never waste time envying others. Chances are they are watching other people’s efforts too. Learn from other people’s success and then see how you can put your own personal spin on it.

And always give yourself credit for where you are. Sometimes we get so caught up in the moment that we overlook all of the good things we already have.
