Denver Broncos Partner With UCHealth

Sometimes it takes organizations that are in a position of influence over the community to enforce the importance of health and wellness, and get the community to starting acting for better health outcomes. It can be a non-profit organization, a medical institution, an interest group, or even something as simple as a small club like Girl Scouts to spread awareness of health and wellness, and rally the community together to accomplish their health and wellness goals.

There are also elements of partnership that occur between organizations as a way to pool resources together and bring about new levels of wellness promotion in the country. One partnership that we are seeing take flight in the state of Colorado is between the professional football team the Denver Broncos and UCHealth, the medical branch of the University of Colorado.

In the most recent development between these two organizations, the Denver Broncos have agreed to grant the naming rights for their new training facility to UCHealth. Located in Englewood, Colorado, the new training center will be called the UCHealth Training Center. Team President and CEO Joe Ellis made the announcement yesterday, citing how proud and excited that the Broncos were to have such a strong partnership with a community-based health organization.

Another fold in the partnership between the two organizations is the sponsorship and foundation of the Broncos Health and Wellness Expo, a community event that will try to rally everyone in the Greater Denver area together and improve their awareness and ability to maintain healthy behaviors. The event will features free health screenings, testing, interactions with Broncos players, a series of vendors that will be offering insight into the latest health and wellness developments, and much more.

Colorado is often viewed as one of the more progressive states in the country in many facets, but healthcare is potentially the most innovative of these facets. When considering everything that is being done between the UCHealth system and the Denver Broncos and that this is just one of many health initiatives that is being carried out in Colorado, we know that there are plenty of examples for other parts of the country to follow.
