The Joint Helps This Tempe Man Stay Active

With each basket made, each karate kick, each lap around the track, this Tempe resident has The Joint to thank.

Because after 30 years of experiencing the benefits of chiropractic care, Robert Dermer can still enjoy all of his favorite active-ities, which range from running and basketball to karate and lifting weights.

From the beginning, Dermer went to The Joint for preventive measures so he wouldn’t experience the physical decline so many of his friends were forced to endure.

“I let everyone know that chiropractic care has kept me playing the sports I love and weight-lifting, [when] all my friends have given it up due to back problems and other ailments,” Dermer says.

Today, Dermer continues to play basketball, and expand on his already-impressive nine years of karate. He also continues working out with weights, furthering an interest that he’s enjoyed for more than 40 years, while getting some cardio exercise in with his three-a-week runs. He’s taken kaplan classes in Tempe, too.  Dermer's commitment to a healthy and active lifestyle is one that we could all learn from.

Perhaps Dermer’s athletic lifestyle goes back to his youth, when he played both football and basketball in college; nevertheless, he continues enjoying his active lifestyle with some help from The Joint’s professional wellness care.  Regular adjustments from the skilled doctors at The Joint keep his mind and body functioning at an optimal level.

“I love The Joint the most because you can get in and out quickly,” Dermer says. Plus, the “staff is very friendly! Even though I only go to [The Joint] in Tempe, I like that there are many offices throughout Phoenix.”

Dermer’s love for The Joint expands to the whole community, too, as his love for the city of Tempe and his participation in the real estate business remain as pain-free as they are enjoyable.

Despite living in Tempe for only eight years, Dermer is already quickly becoming an ambassador for the effective and non-invasive holistic care that The Joint strives to provide to everyone.

“I would suggest it to others,” he concludes.
