Encinitas Wednesday @ Noon Concerts

Looking for a fun, musical, cultural, and wonderful way to spend your Wednesday? 

If you live in the City of Encinitas well then you are in luck! From 12:00pm to 12:45pm at the Encinitas Library (located at 540 Cornish Drive Encinitas, California) the city's Arts Division is hosting Wednesday Concerts @ Noon. This is a great way to spend time with your community, and listen to some amazing musicians play. So bring lunch or purchase food from the coffee cart on location and enjoy! Check out the line-up for the rest of May:

  • May 15th, Kaia String: This Chicago based classical string quartet delivers a fun performance with an emphasis on world music. They like to focus on music from Latin America, and have been impressing audiences all over with their skills. For more information about this group visit their website: www.kaiastringquartet.com.
  • May 22nd, Bach Collegium San Diego: Get ready to be wowed by this musically gifted quartet; Charles Humphries, countertenor; Pierre Joubert, violin; Heather Vorwerck, cello; and Ruben Valenzuela, harpsichord. These talented musicians are here to impress with their renditions of Baroque musical pieces played on original instruments.   • May 29th, Stephen Lewis, piano: Mr. Lewis is a "DMA student in piano performance and is also pursuing a PhD in composition at UC San Diego." He will be dazzling everyone on Wednesday, May 29th, with a handful of memorable piano pieces. This is a performance you will not want to miss!

Bring a friend and come out to the Encinitas Library and take advantage of this wonderful concert series. Music is something that has been bringing people closer over centuries, and now you can see it in action at your local library. Make an afternoon of it by bringing a lunch (or purchasing food there) and eat while listening to these talented musicians play.

The Arts Division will be hosting concerts all year round. You can check for the updated schedule at the City of Encinitas's events calendar. Make sure you carve out some time to attend one (or more) of these wonderful concerts. Encinitas locals are so lucky to have an opportunity to engage with the community while listening to talented musicians play. The concert series hosts musical guests from the fun folk duo Shelby & Tieg.  From the blues to classical, each act is 100% worth seeing. So like we said before, grab a friend and some food, and join in on the musical fun!
