Back Pain Relief from Celebrity Yogi

If you have ever tried yoga, chances are you are a big fan or are completely against it. And while imagining the mind’s inner eye may not be your thing, you have to admit that yogis (people that practice yoga) are quite healthy. Celebrity yogi, Cameron Alborzian (aka Yogi Cameron), just released a book, “The One Plan”, which talks about stress and pain management. His tips may help you find relief to your back pain once and for all.

In regard to back pain, Yogi Cameron says, "Much of back pain is caused by emotional stress and poor lifestyle choices. Additionally, the back can experience pain when we sit too much, experience too much movement, or otherwise exhibit excessive behaviors”. Basically, if we eliminate our stress and change our bad habits, the pain will go away.

For stress reduction, Yogi Cameron admits that there are so many tips and tricks, but it all boils down to taking the time to breathe. Focus on your breath. Slow it down. Breathe in deeply, hold it, and exhale deeply. Don’t you feel better already? Look up some more breathing exercises for an easy way to battle stress at work.

As far as lifestyle changes go, Yogi Cameron gives three suggestions. First, he says to “avoid drying foods”. He follows that advice by saying, “Foods like packaged chips and snacks, dried fruits, and energy bars dry up the body and create constipation”.  He then suggests cutting out late night eating, saying that it turns into toxins that build up while you sleep. Finally, he recommends sleeping on the floor. While his first two tips will be easy to implement into our daily lives, sleeping on the floor may be a little too extreme for most people.

Whether you think Yogi Cameron is truly enlightened or not, he does offer excellent advice that pain stems from stress and poor lifestyle choices. Focus on eliminating your stress and bad habits each day to see if you begin to feel better.
