The Long Beach Grand Prix is in Town

Racing fans, your big weekend is coming up! The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach is racing into town again from Friday, April 19th through Sunday, April 21st. Fans from all over will be watching the race this weekend – 170,000 fans to be exact.

Not only will this weekend be full of fun racing, but there are so many fun activities too. Along with racing cars, there will be two concerts held after the races. Friday night’s concert will feature Moderatto and Moenia. After the races on Saturday, the Tecate Light Rock-n-Roar Concert will be headlined by Bret Michaels.

There will also be an enormous Lifestyle Expo with over 150 vendors, including many displays featuring new and cutting edge green technologies. For the ultimate car fan, there will be a Mothers Exotic Car Paddock with over 100 exotic sports cars. So if you can’t afford a nice ride, you can spend hours looking at them.

The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach also has some fun events for the kids lined up. The family fun zones will include rock climbing walls, trampolines, and racing for the kids. There will also be pit stop demonstrations.

Not a fan of the race or just have somewhere else to be? Then you need to read this helpful document from the city. This will help you know how to get around Long Beach, though it is probably best to leave before Friday if you are leaving town to miss the crazy traffic that is coming for the race.

This weekend is going to be a blast for the community. It will be fun to watch drivers race by at speeds of 90 MPH on streets that you were just cruising on the week before. Remember to stay hydrated and to wear plenty of sunscreen, but most importantly remember to be safe!
