Meet Our Chiropractors
Dr. Cory Hawkins, D.C.
University of Western States
Years Practicing: 24
Dr. Cory Hawkins received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Western States Chiropractic College in 1993 and has been in private practice in Boise since that time.
Prior to his education as a chiropractor, Dr. Hawkins was certified as a Massage Therapist and worked in both the health club environment as well as with chiropractic patients. Dr. Hawkins has also been privileged to provide care to participants of the Race to Robie Creek, NCAA Track Tournament and the Los Angeles Marathon.
Believing that your body has amazing capabilities of healing itself, and that, along with chiropractic, proper nutrition plays an important role in supporting your body's health, Dr. Hawkins has done additional post-graduate studies in proper nutrition. Dr. Hawkins works with patients to provide a health care protocol individualized to meet each patient's needs.
Prior to receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Cory Hawkins had a professional career in dance. During his career he has had the opportunity to teach master dance classes around the country. He has taught dance at Elevated Dance Project. In addition to his full-time practice, Dr. Hawkins has donated his services in the past as the Company Chiropractor for Idaho Dance Theatre. He enjoys the combination of providing health care for and working with dancers.
Dr. Hawkins has been married for 32 years and is the father of three sons. He and his wife are active in the Boise community.
Dr. Jake Erickson, D.C.
Dr. Jake Erickson hails from the great state of South Dakota. He moved to Boise in 2009 to pursue his chiropractic career. He studied Exercise Science at the University of Sioux Falls where he was also a team captain on the school's football team. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2008. In his free time he enjoys mountain biking, traveling, and spending time with his girlfriend Orquidea and dog Frankie.
Dr. Shawn Allen, D.C.
University of Western States
Years Practicing: 9
Dr. Allen graduated from Western States Chiropractic College (now known as The University of Western States) in Portland Oregon. He has had life long association with chiropractic from the time he was in high school and was treated by a chiropractor for a football injury. After high school he joined the Oregon Air National Guard as a full time guardsman. He worked there for 8 years before moving to Arizona to work at Boeing in Mesa. However, he decided that his real desire was to become a chiropractor so he and his family moved back to Oregon to complete his degree, only to return to Arizona after graduation.
