Pocket Sized Snacks With Big Healthy Benefits - 1st Week

By Genevieve Cunningham

One of the hardest parts of a healthy diet is the snacks. Snacking is human nature; we like it! It fills our bellies and gives us something to do. But, if you don’t choose the proper foods to snack on, you might be seriously harming your health. The easiest snacks are quick, small, and easy. You can just grab them and go, but these are also the hardest ones to make healthy. To give you some healthy options, check out these pocket sized snacks that make healthy eating a breeze.

Almonds

This healthy nut is packed full of protein, calcium, magnesium, and Vitamin B6. It also contains plenty of healthy fats. It’s good for the brain and the heart, bringing the proper nutrients for optimal function in both of these areas. It can be high calorie if you’re not careful, so it’s important to pay attention to your serving, but with a simple handful (about nine nuts), you can satisfy your craving in a healthy way.

Grapes

These small fruits are actually considered fatty for a fruit, but they’re still healthy when eaten in moderation. A handful of grapes will provide your body with a huge blast of potassium, some Vitamin C and B6, iron, and magnesium. Grapes are also sweet, so they’ll satisfy your sweet tooth without too much sugar or fat. Grab some grapes, throw them in a ziploc bag, and carry a healthy snack for anytime of day.

Cherry Tomatoes

These tiny little tomatoes are just like their bigger relatives, except these are bite sized and sometimes give a sweet flavor. Tomatoes are a great source of Vitamin C, which helps to boost your immune system and fight off illness. You’ll also get a dose of Vitamin A, magnesium, and potassium. It’s a quick and easy way to get a healthy snack with very little effort. Just grab, rinse, pop, and chew.

Snacks are part of a healthy diet. We all snack occasionally, and it can be good for the body; but if you really want to be healthy, it’s important to choose the appropriate items and then eat them in the right way. Otherwise, snacking could ruin your healthy diet and cause health problems and excess weight. The right snacks can add to your health and get you closer to the body of your dreams. Use these choices to boost your diet and keep your health in great shape.
