Dr. Laura Peterson, D.C.
Dr. Laura Peterson grew up in Bad Axe, Michigan where she experienced her first chiropractic adjustment at the age of twelve. She struggled with daily headaches as a child, unable to go through a full day of school without feeling debilitated by the pain. Her parents couldn't watch their daughter struggle with headaches any longer, and decided to seek chiropractic care. "My chiropractor saved my life. I was able to function day to day better than I had in two years. It was at that moment that I realized I wanted to help people the way that my chiropractor helped me".
Dr. Peterson studied for her Bachelor's degree of Science at Central Michigan University. From there, she went on to get her Doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During her years at Palmer, Dr. Laura stayed busy by getting involved in school organizations as well as the women's volleyball team. She was also an active volunteer in community sporting events, and worked after school in the rehabilitation department caring for patients. Dr. Laura has received certifications in techniques including: Gonstead, Activator, and Flexion Distraction. She has also completed continuing education in soft tissue management, physiotherapy, and extremity care management.
Since graduating in June 2013, Dr. Peterson was fortunate to have an internship in Indianapolis, Indiana where she gained the knowledge and experience of adjusting patients of all ages. While in clinic, Dr. Laura took a great interest in nutritional wellness as well as preventative healthcare; which led to her passion of being fit, eating right, and thinking well. She is determined to empower patients to take an active role in their health.
Dr. Peterson recently moved to the Charlotte area and is dedicated to providing resources that inspire and empower individuals, families, and organizations to achieve their unlimited innate health potential. She is the Clinic Director an lead doctor at the Stonecrest clinic and is actively accepting new patients. She looks forward to the opportunity of serving the community through chiropractic care.
