Meet The Doctors
Dr. Donald Daniels, D.C.
National University of Health Sciences
Dr. Donald Daniels decided to become a chiropractor early in his life always preferring a natural approach to health. He had undergraduate work in the Chicago area before earning his Bachelors of Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic from National college of Health Sciences out of Lombard Illinois. He has also gone on to take graduate courses in Kinesiology lumbar disc problems posture and acute injury. Dr. Daniels has taken and passed state Licensing in Illinois California Indiana Texas and Louisiana. He has trained chiropractors and opened offices in Massachusetts, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Texas, Alabama, and Maryland. Dr. Daniels is now excited to be practicing at The Joint Arboretum with Dr. Le, Dr. Maddalena and Dr. Renee in a patient friendly atmosphere with convenient hours.
Dr Thomas Kolenda
Dr. Kolenda has been serving the Austin community for over fifteen years. He raises and cares for his young daughter here. In the past few years, he has completed Austin’s Motorola Marathon and participates in 5Ks & 10K races as well as sprint triathlons. In addition to running, his hobbies include: cycling; dancing; and singing with two-time regional champions, the Austin Chord Rangers.
Dr. Chris Barras, D.C.
Years Practicing: 20
Dr. Barras decided to become a chiropractor after receiving “tremendous results as a chiropractic patient.” He completed his undergraduate degree at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX and received his doctorate in chiropractic medicine from Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, TX. Dr. Barras has been practicing since 1996 and has worked for and with many other chiropractors. He has had a private practice in Austin for many years but enjoys working with The Joint because he can continue to focus on patient care without the hassle of third party payers. His hobbies include fishing, music, electronics, and preventive health.
Dr. Ed Fisher, D.C.
Cleveland Chiropractic College - Los Angeles

Dr. Ed Fisher, born in Stockton, California, attended Arizona State University on an athletic scholarship where he played football for the Sun Devils as well as coaching the freshman football team. Upon his graduation in 1972, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health and Education, Dr. Fisher played ten years with the Houston Oilers professional football team, was a member of the every yard Earl Campbell achieved. Dr. Fisher first became involved with Chiropractic study during the football off seasons and, in 1987, graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College of Los Angeles.
Upon successful completion of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Part One, in 1988, and the Arizona State Licensure and Physical Therapy and Traction License, Dr. Fisher entered the practice of Chiropractic. Dr. Fisher has worked with teams consisting of multi-specialty doctors including family physicians, physical therapists, pain management physicians, and message therapists. Dr. Fisher has a strong background in athletics and sports injuries.
Dr. Fisher has also successfully completed the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Part Two, in 1990, and the Special Purposes Examination for Chiropractic and the Texas Board of Chiropractic Exam in 2014. He also holds Chiropractic Licenses in Arizona and Colorado. Dr. Fisher is continually updating his knowledge and expertise in Chiropractic care by attending educational seminars related to the various aspects of Chiropractic care.
