How To Handle Life’s Falls with A Chiropractor’s Help

Sometimes, no matter how we try, life deals us the wrong card, and injuries, crashes and other misfortunes become real.

Recently that happened to a friend of mine, who never missed a deadline and always did a great job. But when she was racing around finishing up in order to retire she fell and broke her wrist. She also had an assortment of bruises and strains from the fall.

After seeing the doctor and dealing with the broken wrist she also went to see her chiropractor.

The chiropractor had helped her through many other problems over the years, and she thought it might be true again as she struggled to return to normal. As it turned out it was a big help.

As she pulled things together to complete her retirement and move through all of the hoops that followed, her visits to the chiropractor became a refuge. Regular adjustments and a lot of advice on how to get back to her regular pace helped fit everything together.

The chiropractor’s role.

The chiropractor’s goal is to help bring pain relief whenever possible without medications or surgery. In the initial visit the chiropractor will do a spinal adjustment to evaluate the health of the spine, take a full medical history and discuss what is going on in the patient’s life, and what their daily activities look like.

In chiropractic visits the focus is on a healthy spine, insuring the whole nervous system is working well. Gradually, my friend regained use of her wrist and control of her life. With the chiropractor’s help she also learned new relaxation exercises, improved her diet, and added a new exercise class to her retirement schedule.

If you need help solving injuries or strains, visit your chiropractor and find out what can be done to get things back to normal. When life suddenly becomes not OK, your chiropractor may be the one to give you that boost to restore your quality of life. In my friend’s case, I am sure she will rely on her chiropractor to keep right on guiding her through retirement. She said she has noticed some twinges that may be arthritis, and those will be discussed next. The chiropractor will be able to assess the problem and help her stay active through this challenge too.

If you or someone in your family is encountering new injuries, sprains or other collisions with life, the chiropractor may be able to help out in the return to normal.
