Everyday Activities Things That Can Age You

 

Age is always a hot topic, and no one wants to hurry things along. In fact most of us invest in all sorts of things to slow age down. But there are some things that can age you without any thought on your part.

You posture with your head forward and your body slanting forward can age your whole body as more pressure is put on your neck and all of your organs. Get someone to take a picture of you and check it out. You may be tilting forward without even realizing it. A few posture exercises can get help straighten you up. You will look younger and your body will be younger.

Skipping sunscreen and not wearing a hat or sunglasses can quickly age your skin, be a danger to you eyesight, and dry out your hair. Warnings about preserving your vision always note that serious eye disease such as macular degeneration can be involved when the eyes are exposed to too much unprotected sunlight.

Opting for another drink and forgetting those eight glasses of water a day can dry your whole system out and lead to sometimes dangerous dehydration. As age advances dehydration can have an even more marked affect on the individual. And too much alcohol is hard on your skin and your whole system.

Voting for more cheese, rich sauces and less vegetables can show up in your skin, hair and weight. Staying lean is one of the doctor’s most frequent suggestions. Avoiding using straws can skip a few of those pursed wrinkles around the mouth that become more frequent with age.

Attitudes that keep us angry over little things, or lead to harboring grudges can also age us, as stress becomes a constant thing.Forgetting to get enough sleep can be an option of age as retirement permits a free flowing schedule. But too little sleep or way too much can show up In your health. Set a comfortable pattern and stick to it. Skipping exercise in favor of bridge games, movies and TV can be fun, but everybody needs to be out there a few times a week. It has now been shown that activity also promotes better brain health too.

Forgetting to laugh too can age you, as the lighthearted fun side of life just seems to slip away. You probably know some seniors who are quick to laugh, others not so much. And of course there is quite a contrast in them. To avoid aging always try to see the flipside and what makes it funny. It keeps life more interesting.
