Valley chiropractic clinics to treat first responders, families for free week of 9/11

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - When the call for help goes out, first responders answer it - no questions asked. Every day, first responders throughout the country put their own well-being on the back burner to see to the needs of others - perfect strangers. While most people run from danger, first responders run toward it.

In honor of those who did just that in New York on Sept. 11, 2001, a Valley chain of chiropractic clinics is looking to put Phoenix emergency crews and their families first, looking after them the way they look after everyone else. To that end, all 20 of The Joint's Phoenix metro locations will be offering free chiropractic adjustments to first responders and their families for the week leading up to Sept. 11.

"We're reminded during this time of year around 9/11, of those who sacrifice their lives for others and we want them to know The Joint is grateful and thanks them," The Joint CEO John Leonesio said in a news release. "The Joint family is extremely proud of our country and the service our first responders provide, not just on this day, but every day of the year."

Between Sept. 4 and Sept. 11, military, police, firefighters, emergency medical technicians and their families can get a free adjustment at any Phoenix clinic. All that's needed is a valid ID and proof of occupation.

With night and weekend hours, The Joint does not require appointments or X-rays, and charges a flat fee of $29 per visit. It also offers monthly plans of $49 per month for four visits.

While The Joint has clinics in 27 states, it was born right here in Arizona. The company was founded in Tucson in 1999, and was recently listed at No. 45 on Inc. Magazine's 500 Fastest Growing Companies.
