This does not suggest that you jump on every new diet trend that comes along. That would be expensive, stressful, and completely ineffective. But if a new super food comes to light, research it. Look at its nutritional value, and then read about the possible benefits. Since we're constantly learning about nutrition, it's not at all unlikely that something important will come to light. If the food or drink seems like something that could benefit your health, ask your doctor and consider adding it into your regular menu.

Ask Your Doctor for Advice

Doctors are basically required to stay on top of their practice. If they don't, their patients will go elsewhere. Don't be afraid to regularly ask your doctor for advice around your specific health issues. Each time you have a regular checkup, ask! If something new has come to light, they may be able to give you the information you need to deal with whatever issue is going on in your life.

With the internet, there's no excuse for being behind. Read, and read often. Read fitness sites and articles about diet. Read about new treatment options.
