What is Responsible for Innate Intelligence Within Our Bodies?
Our nervous system is one of, if not the most important body systems that we have. Aside from our brain and our spinal cord, the nervous system has so many different components that form an interconnected network of communications, that monitor the inner workings of our bodies. Neural networks are located all throughout the body, and are concentrated in parts of the body that are responsible for high levels of perception and sensation.
In using a variety of different chemicals called neurotransmitters and electric impulses that are transferred throughout the vast network of neurons in the body, the nervous system is able to determine the body’s positioning, process external stimuli, form reactions to those stimuli, and convey information regarding the status of a certain body system or body part. If this network is disturbed or infringed upon, then serious problems can arise.
Chiropractic professionals are understanding of the relationship between the alignment of our spines, the correct positioning of the musculoskeletal system overall, and the functioning of our nervous system. When there are problems with spinal alignment, then the level of signaling throughout the nervous system decreases significantly and if these signals are cut off, then it is impossible for normal biological processes to occur. When these biological processes are inhibited, then there are ample opportunities for pain to occur in locations where misalignment is most severe.
The concept of Innate Intelligence is often used in chiropractic care to describe the belief that the body has a life force which is responsible for organizing, healing, and maintaining normal conditions throughout all of the body’s systems. The nervous system is looked to as the main network for communication and the traveling of Innate Intelligence throughout the body, if there are problems in the nervous system then this Innate Intelligence is interrupted, which leads to the development of injury and illness.
In using chiropractic care, patients can improve the level of communication amongst their nervous system components with proper spinal alignment. In manipulating the different parts of the neck and spine, the neurons are in proper placement and signals can be translated properly which leads to many other health benefits as well. More and more practices across the country are promoting knowledge and awareness of Innate Intelligence to bring prospective patients up to speed with current schools of thought in this area of the medical community.
