It's true that you don't want to strain your back muscles by overworking them -- but this doesn't mean you should be still for most of the day. Since most of us work in an office, it can be difficult to find the balance. Try setting alarms to remind yourself to get up and stretch at your desk; this will prevent stiffness from setting in.
