The Real Reasons Energy Lacks (And How to Get More!)

When you really lack energy, there’s almost nothing you can do to turn your day around. Feeling rundown and listless is just something you have to deal with for the day, and it’s certainly not fun. While it’s easy to blame this fatigue on a myriad of sources … poor sleep last night, you ran out of coffee, your stress is too high … the truth is that a constant lack of energy probably has a deeper cause. Take a look at these common reasons your energy lacks, followed by some ways to get you back up and moving.

You Spend Massive Amounts of Time on Electronics

There are so many good things about electronics. They’re quick, easy, and make work much more productive. They provide entertainment and endless information. But on the opposite end of the spectrum, they’re serious energy zappers. Electronics, with the way they look and the effects they have on the brain, are notorious for taking your energy and stimulating your brain patterns long after you’ve stopped using them. If you stay on electronics all day and are having trouble sleeping at night, you may consider limiting your exposure to enhance your sleep and energy.

Your Diet is Lacking in Important Nutrients

We know that a lack of nutrients can cause us to lose weight, suffer from headaches, and harm our teeth and hair. But what you may not have realized is that it can also keep you from maintaining proper energy levels. If your energy is subpar, take a quick look at your diet. Are you getting all of the vitamins and nutrients that you need? Are you lacking in any particular area? Cleaning up your diet can make you feel better as a whole, and improved energy is just a part of that overall health.

Your Schedule is Erratic
