How to Start Your Day Off With a Bang

Mornings are tough. You know you have to roll out of your warm bed, get yourself ready, and drag yourself to a day at the office. It’s not that you hate it; it’s just that your warm bed, a cup of coffee, and a little TV sound so much better. Unfortunately for all of us, getting out of bed and getting moving in the morning are part of living a healthy and productive life. In order to make your mornings just a little better, take a look at these tips for starting each day off on the right foot.

Release Stress First Thing

Believe it or not, most people feel a bit of stress as soon as they wake up. While this may not seem like a big deal, it sets your day up all wrong. Your stress levels are only likely to grow from there, so you’ve given stress a head start over your health. To start the day off right, try a stress relieving activity first thing. Yoga, stretching, meditation, prayer, and even a quiet sit with your favorite warm beverage can all do the trick. Just find what works for you, and melt the stress away before the day even begins.

Eat a Big, Healthy Breakfast

If you think that a tiny breakfast will keep you slender, you’ve got it all wrong. A big healthy breakfast helps to fuel your body for the day. You’ll have greater concentration, your metabolism will begin to move faster, and you’ll likely have much better moods overall. Fruit, eggs, wheat toast, avocado, and veggies are all excellent options for breakfast. Cook up something delicious, and enjoy the process. It will help set your day and your health moving in the right direction.

Begin Your Water for the Day

Most of us actually tend to avoid water in the mornings. It just doesn’t taste quite right, and we’d rather have our coffee anyway. But water is essential for better health. Drinking water in the morning can actually wake you up better than your normal caffeine fix. It hydrates the brain and body, leaving you with focus and efficient function. If you’re really not OK with the flavor, try adding a slice of lemon or lime, a tasty powder, or any fruit of your choosing.

Mornings don’t have to be torture. You can actually learn to enjoy them as long as you have the necessary tools to get started. Use these tips as a jumping off point, and then alter the routine to make it your very own. After some time, you may find the mornings to be one of the calmest, most enjoyable parts of your entire day.
