Feet have always been a topic of casual conversation. Everyone has probably had a time when they felt like theirs were going to fall off from being so tired. When I was a kid, trips to places like amusement parks, fairs, or zoos always ended in near total exhaustion with tired and sore feet. With more modern technology has come better gear for personal use. Footwear has made great strides and, today, is much different from the dinosaurs of the past. No longer do shoes have to be heavy in order to provide support.
The Old Work Boot Is Out
Many people may remember their parents or grandparents having older style work boots that were durable but really heavy. Even old athletic shoes were much heavier in the belief that they had to be in order to provide real support. The sheer weight of the shoes were enough to tire the legs and back. At the end of the long day, people were often so worn out that they had very little energy to do anything except sit down or go to bed.
Lightweight Footwear Is In
In today’s market, higher technology is able to be used to make a much lighter shoe or boot. Comfort is now a major concern. Lighter footwear can be purchased at a very affordable price and can almost feel as if there were no shoes at all. They may feel as light as houseshoes. I was very pleasantly surprised when I went to look for a pair and tried them on. The term "minimal" is now used. Footwear should be as minimal as possible. This means good support with the least obvious feel that anything is on the feet.
Footwear Can Have A Huge Impact On Health
The kind of footwear someone chooses can have an affect on overall health, With the newer kinds, people don’t have to deal with exhaustion caused by the weight of the shoe or boot itself. Once a lighter and more comfortable type of footwear is worn, there is a noticeable difference. No longer is there the need to rest it for long periods of time to regain any energy or strength. A brief rest can allow someone to continue activity with renewed feelings of freshness and vitality.
