It's Not a Temporary Fix

Weight loss isn't something that we want for a short amount of time. We want it forever. We certainly aren't looking for a quick fix. But honestly, we sometimes go into the weight loss journey with this thought. We want it now! While this is a normal emotion, it's not doing you any favors. Instead, keep in mind that weight loss is long-term. You're trying to change your life! Think about weight loss as a lifelong journey, and you're more likely to feel positive about the little successes along the way.

You'll Have Some Ups and Downs

Weight loss is complicated. You're never going to get it right all the time. You're going to have some moments of success and some moments of failure. You're going to lose a lot, and then you're going to gain a little back. It's normal! Just remember that the ups and downs are part of the process, and go with the flow as much as possible.

You're OK Where You Are

It doesn't matter where you are in your journey. You might be in the beginning stages, the messy middle, or close to success at the end. Wherever you are, that's fine. It's OK. You're OK. We all have to go through every step in order to find success. The more comfortable you get with yourself along the way, the better off you're going to be in the grand scheme of your weight loss endeavor.
