Dr. Siu joined The Joint Chiropractic’s family of local healthcare providers in 2021 at Joint Chiropractic’s San Rafael location. A graduate of local Life West Chiropractic College, who studied Economics, Anatomy and Chiropractic medicine, he received his doctorate of chiropractic in 2020, he still enjoys learning and loves teaching about health-related issues, wellness, and Chiropractic care.
Dr. Siu, as he likes to be called, says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “I love developing the relationships with my patients and seeing both of us grow. While the patient learns how to take control of their health, equipped with better tools, and me growing as a Medical Practitioner."
The second best thing about being in the chiropractic field is “Being able to provide an alternative to pharmaceuticals and surgery first towards the patients’ health goals ”.
Dr. Siu grew up in the Bay Area and still enjoys living in the Bay Area near friends and family. He also enjoys Working out, Relaxing, eating out, and keeping up with current events, especially the economy.
He knew chiropractic was his calling when- “While I was doing my accounting homework I realized I did not want to be isolated in an office crunching numbers. I felt alone and questioned if I wanted to do this for a living. I wanted a career where I had more meaningful and impactful interactions for my clients/patients.”
The thing I like best about working at the San Rafael Bay location of The Joint,” he says, “ My goal is to settle down in the North Bay and provide the best care for my patients at the Joint Chiropractic in San Rafael, CA.
In Case You Didn’t Know: What’s the one thing in your fridge that you must have, and why? Dr. Siu says he must have Eggs, they are so versatile and easy to make with amazing nutrition.
Four “famous” people, living or dead (but not friends/family members), who would comprise your perfect dinner party, and why?
The rock- I grew up while his career was just starting. Seeing him come from nothing, notorious for being the hardest worker in the room, it would be interesting to see how he balances his time and his life to be able to achieve this
DD Palmer – Innovation always has its pushbacks. It would be awesome to hear his experience on creating so life-changing for humankind and what he was thinking at that moment. In addition, how did he survive with the negativity personally?
Sundar Pichai – I would like to compare his experience of being an immigrant coming from nothing. How he got to where he is today with what resources and the mindset required.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done, and why was it so cool?
Going on a mission trip to Fiji in 2019. Being able to serve while experiencing the luxurious AND non-luxurious parts of Fiji. It gave me a sense of gratitude for what I have and what I am able to achieve with my skills and how I can serve the people.
Dr. Bob Swiryn joined The Joint Chiropractic’s family of local healthcare providers in 2020 at Joint Chiropractic’s North Bay Area locations. A graduate of Life Chiropractic College, West, who studied Religion andChiropractic, he received his doctorate of chiropractic in 1992, enjoys teaching and loves sharing about the profession. Dr. Bob, as he likes to be called, says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “I enjoy working for The Joint because I get to just be the doctor, doing what I love best – treating patients – while allowing others to take care of the business end of the practice”. I like the Hayward location, as it’s a short commute from home (SF), and I can interact with students from Life West.
The second best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “ It’s an opportunity to help others in a rewarding career.”. After much World travel, Dr. Bob still enjoys living in the Bay Area.
He also enjoys Golf, music, travel, playing the guitar. He knew chiropractic was his calling when- “ I had several back injuries early in life, and was very impressed when my mother took me to a chiropractor who was able to give me instant relief – although not permanent – while the medical doctors I saw were talking about drugs and surgery”
The thing I like best about working at the East Bay location of The Joint,” he says, “ Sense of gratification from helping people with natural health care.”. I am always amazed at the body’s ability to heal, and happy to be part of the process.

Dr. Bob says he must have a healthy diet and life style.
If he could sit down with any three people for the dinner party of his dreams, he would include: 1) The Dalai Lama, Jesus, Buddha and Norm McDonald. I would be able to ask questions about the personal lives and knowledge of some of the greatest religious leaders of the world, and have Norm’s sense of humor keep us all grounded and enjoying the dinner.
The coolest thing you’ve ever done, and why was it so cool?
I think jumping out of an airplane with a parachute was pretty cool because it made me overcome fear and give me the unique perspective of free falling and gliding through the air.
Dr. Ciara joined The Joint Chiropractic’s family of local healthcare providers in 2020 and currently works at Joint Chiropractic’s Hayward and El Cerrito locations. A graduate of Life University , who studied Science, Anatomy and Sports Medicine, she received her doctorate of chiropractic in 2016 , she still enjoys learning and loves sharing about current health related issues, wellness and Chiropractic care.
Dr. Ciara, as she likes to be called, says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is: “I get to educate different communities about Chiropractic, health and wellness ”. The second best thing about being in the chiropractic field is “I get to help people who have been in pain for months or years heal in weeks or months ”. Dr. Ciara moved to California from Atlanta, GA and really enjoys living in the East Bay area near friends and family in the Bay Area.
She knew chiropractic was his calling when- “I knew Chiropractic was my calling my junior year in undergraduate school. I came home to Cleveland, Ohio for summer break and I shadowed a seasoned Chiropractor. She let me work with her and watch her see and interact with patients. I loved that I could help people with my hands and educate the community about something that could change their lives.”.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done, and why was it so cool: Traveling to India for one-year in free clinics that made Chiropractic care accessible to the local communities. Here I was able to work with thousands of people; I learned so much from every single one - I will never forget this time and the immense growth that took place.
