How to Set Your Morning Up With Good Vibes
By Genevieve Cunningham
Mornings are where the magic happens. For most people, mornings are just hard. You don't want to get out of the bed. You don't want to go to work. You're moody and irritated. But if you can learn to start your day off in a positive way, you'll be in for better health and a happier life. But how do you make this happen when mornings are your toughest part of the day? If you want to set yourself up for success, take a look at these tips for starting the morning off right.
Eat the Best Breakfast
The new rage seems to be all about skipping breakfast, and if that works for you, great. But many people need fuel in the morning. Without it, they feel sluggish and run down. If this is you, feed yourself the best breakfast possible. It should be light and nutritious -- think oatmeal and fresh fruit or toast and egg whites. Giving yourself a good breakfast is a great way to boost your mind and your body for a solid start to your day.
Go Outside
Nature is a natural mood booster. If the weather is decent, get some fresh air in the morning. This can fill your lungs with oxygen, get your blood pumping, and boost your mood before the day even begins. If you can squeeze in some exercise, do it. But if all you can manage is to sip your coffee on the front porch, get outside and make it happen.
Eliminate All That Noise
Why is the world so noisy? There are people making noise on the street and at work. There are horns and tire screeches on the road. There are sirens and traffic sounds. It's nonstop noise! Even if you're used to all of this noise, it actually grates on the nerves and raises stress. If you want to start the morning off well, get yourself some quiet time. Get up earlier than everyone else, steal away in the bathroom for a few minutes, or drive to work in silence. You may be surprised at how much this changes your morning and your mood every day.
The morning doesn't have to be the bane of your existence. It can be refreshing and inspiring. Use these tips to make your morning positive and to set your day up with good vibes all day long.
