Try This 3-Day Jump-Start to Better Health

Good health is something that we all want -- and we want it right now. When we finally get the urge to make improvements, we're often impatient for the results. We want to exercise once or twice and see progress. We want to eat well all day long and see the scale trend downward. Of course, we all know that it's a long-term process, but luckily there are things we can do to get a jump start on getting healthy and feeling good. If you're ready to dive in and make changes, take a look at this three-day plan toward the best health yet.
Focus on Water
One of the very first things you should do when you're trying to improve your health is to increase your water consumption. For the most part, we don't drink enough water. While we're supposed to be drinking a minimum of eight glasses every day, most are struggling to get in one or two full glasses. Before you make any other changes, start drinking more water and you'll be steadily moving in the right direction.
Focus on Walking
It's tempting to get up and start with hardcore exercise to really get the ball rolling. While we might have enough motivation to last a week or two, jumping in too fast usually leads to quitting. Instead, start with taking walks every day. You can do it first thing in the morning to get it over with or it can be the last thing after dinner. Don't power walk. Don't make it hard. Just walk! You'll likely be surprised at how much better you feel just by getting up and moving every day.
Focus on Sleep
You really can't tackle anything with appropriate dedication and focus unless you're getting enough sleep. Lack of sleep causes all kinds of frustrating symptoms. It can make it really hard to concentrate, cause headaches and other aches and pains, increase irritability, and make you feel completely run down. If you focus on improving your sleep, you'll find that making other improvements gets a lot easier.
Can we transform our health in three days? Absolutely not. Health transformations take time and effort. It's all about changing our lifestyle, and we can't do that in three days. But three days is certainly enough time to get you moving in the right direction. Use these tips to jump-start your quest for better health, and you'll be on your way to a healthy lifestyle before you know it.
