Those Bare Feet May Lead to Better Health
By Tom Herrin
In our ongoing search for whatever brings us better health, we may find ourselves following lots of different paths. It can be well-worth it if we get good results. Sometimes we look hard for those, and sometimes we find them by accident. Keeping our minds open to a variety of things may help us to discover all kinds of ways to boost our health. Some of these things may be quite simple. One of those that has been found to do some good that is also pretty basic is walking barefoot. We probably all did this when we were kids without ever giving it a second thought. Today we may do so with a little more purpose in mind.
Walking Barefoot May Help Us Sleep Better
Many of us can use better sleep. It is critical for our bodies to be able to make repairs and be prepared for a day of work or other activity. One study found that earthing, which is what this contact with the ground is called, may have a great effect on our sleep. It may improve circadian rhythms. These are an important part of getting a good night's rest. If they are not working well, we may wake up just as tired as when we went to bed. Walking barefoot may help us to have this ground contact that can help us.
Walking Barefoot May Relieve Tension
A lot of us suffer from things related to tension. It can wear us down and keep us feeling miserable. Another study concluded that ground contact may help to balance out electrical charges that can have a bad effect on our bodies. Some even believe that migraines may be caused by excessive exposure to radiation leading to the presence of too many free radicals and that this may be alleviated by grounding. This could be great news to many who suffer from these painful headaches.
Cheap Remedies Can Be the Best Kind
For those of us who have tried lots of things to support better health, we know that the cost can often seem prohibitive. Even if that is the case, the results may be worth it. If we can find something that has little or no cost, that can be a real relief. If you are still searching for something to add a little something extra to your health, you may want to try taking off those shoes and spending more time walking around outdoors. At least it doesn't cost anything to give it a try.
