Signs You Need a Chiropractor!
By Sara Butler
Most people see a chiropractor for the first time because they’re experiencing back or neck pain, but those aren’t the only signals your body may be giving you to indicate a need for chiropractic care. There are other ways in which your body sends signals that something may be off – something that a chiropractor can help you with. Here are a few of the most common signs that you need to see a chiropractor!
Headaches
If you have regular headaches then it’s time you see a chiropractor. Quite often headaches don’t originate from the head, but from a problem in the spine, specifically the neck. If you suffer from headaches enough to warrant over-the-counter pain medication on a daily (or nearly daily) basis, you are merely masking symptoms and not addressing the root cause of the problem. Chiropractors love to dig down and find the root cause of your health problems so they can be corrected at the source. See a chiropractor in order to have the cause of your headaches diagnosed and properly treated.
Pain Medication
One of the benefits of chiropractic care is that it’s completely natural. Chiropractors do not rely on drugs in order to get you healthy, they rely on results from treating the source of what is ailing you. If you take pain medication just to be able to function over the course of a day then it’s time for you to see a chiropractor for some natural relief.
Car Accidents
If you’ve been in a car accident recently, no matter how minor, you should see a chiropractor as soon as possible. Any injury you may have sustained during a car accident may not show up for days afterward, and will only get worse the longer you wait to have it addressed. Even if you’re not sore you need to see a chiropractor in order to make sure everything is fine.
Wear on the Sole of Your Shoes
Take a look at the bottom of your favorite pair of shoes. Do the wear patterns on the bottom of the shoes match or is one different than the other? If your shoes wear in different places then it may mean you’re out of alignment somewhere and compensating for it. Your chiropractor can find the source of the misalignment and gently coax it back to where it should be through manual manipulation techniques.
You’re Proactive!
You don’t just need a chiropractor when you sense something isn’t right, you need a chiropractor all of the time! One of the goals of chiropractic care is to get you well and keep you there, so if you’re proactive about your health, then seeing a chiropractor is right up your alley!
