3 Ways to Cut Calories from Daily Life

If you carry around a little bit of extra weight, cutting calories is probably essential. In order to lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you consume. And unless you’re really getting after it in the gym, the best way to do that is probably by consuming less. Unfortunately, cutting calories can really feel like a chore. If you don’t have much weight to lose, you probably don’t want to do anything drastic, but instead are looking for a relaxed approach. Is there such a thing? Yes! If you would like to cut a few calories from your daily total without too much effort, take a look at these easy ways to do it.

Find A Zero Calorie Sweetener

Sugar doesn’t actually contain massive calories. It contains calories, yes, but the more damaging effects of sugar don’t have much to do with calories. So why does this even matter? Because sugar is in just about everything. If you want to easily cut calories, just choose a zero calorie sweetener when you would normally use sugar. It might not seem like much, but by the end of the day you may save hundreds of calories from your daily total.

Don’t Get a Second Helping

Whatever you’re eating, don’t get a second helping. When the meal is especially delicious, it’s really tempting to grab more -- not because you’re actually hungry, but rather for the flavor! If you can avoid this step at every meal, you can save hundreds of calories. No second helpings at breakfast, lunch, or dinner. No second (or first!) desserts. And no second snacks. Don’t Drink Your Calories
