Strengthen Your Central Nervous System

Without your central nervous system, you wouldn’t be who you are today! Your brain and your spinal cord are quite literally at the center of all you do, both consciously and unconsciously. That’s a huge job, and it’s your job to make sure your central nervous system is as strong as you can help it to be. Here are some easy things you can do to ensure your central nervous system is strong and firing on all cylinders!

What It Does

The central nervous system is responsible for every single function in your body. Your hunger, thirst, breathing, heartbeat, and posture are just a few of the things controlled by your body’s super computer. Even your emotions are under the influence of the central nervous system – which should inspire you to care for it so you can be healthy and happy.

See Your Chiropractor

One of the best things you can do to ensure your central nervous system is functioning at its best is to see your chiropractor regularly. When your spine is aligned, it allows for optimal functioning, and your central nervous system is able to send and receive signals from every part of your body without interference.

Eat Right

Proper nutrition is really important to healthy cells, and healthy cells mean a healthy central nervous system. Magnesium is very important to the health of your brain and helps to curb anxiety, insomnia and even sleep problems when you’re getting enough of it. You can find magnesium in:

Walk in the Sunshine

Your body needs the sun in order to create Vitamin D. If you can get out in the sunshine for at least 10 to 15 minutes every day, then your body can make the Vitamin D it needs to support a healthy central nervous system.
