Relationship Goals in Fitness

#RelationshipGoals. We all have them. In fact, all you have to do is look on Twitter to see the number of people who dream of that happily-ever-after fairytale ending. "I just want to grow old with him, or her, by my side," is a popular sentiment for many. But what really happens when we do get old with someone by our side? Is it really how we imagined it to be? I know that my dreams are filled with family, exotic destinations, a super-healthy lifestyle, and charitable work. But my reality is filled with kids, two jobs, and a sometimes-grumpy husband. My exotic destinations are that of the local soccer fields every weekend and my super-healthy lifestyle is buried under those extra 12 pounds I gained in the past year.

We go through life busier than ever and we end up losing connection to the one we wanted to grow old with and to our once healthy and fit self. Sounds pretty dismal, doesn't it?
