You Can Control How Others See You

Everyone makes judgments about other people.  It is human nature.  The fear of the judgment of others can be intimidating.  We really do have nothing to fear but fear itself.  We have the inner ability to determine how we are viewed by those around us.  The good thing is it doesn’t take a whole lot of work to change the impression we leave.  There are a few things on the list, and you will be able to tell a difference.

General Hygiene is a Good Start

It is no secret that people will notice whether we are neat or unkempt.  Looking at someone in a pair of old worn house shoes and a wrinkled pair of pajamas in the middle of the day is a pretty good way to discourage interest.  We have to dress decently and fit the occasion.  Clean hair is another plus factor.  It is also really important to have our teeth looking as good as possible.  Most everyone likes a good smile.  We shouldn’t be afraid to show our teeth.  There is a natural reaction to a smile that is almost irresistible.  It makes others feel good.  You always enjoy talking to someone who is smiling.  The opposite happens with a blank look or a frown.  And from a health standpoint, smiling can lower blood pressure and help release good chemicals that make us feel better overall.

How We Stand or Sit Tells a Lot

You can take a look around and see who you would like to meet.  Personal confidence is always attractive.  When we slump down, we tend to wall out others.  Sitting or standing straight can let people know that we are confident and very capable.  Other people will be naturally open to us when we appear that way.  Get into a regular exercise program.  The key word here is regular.  It doesn’t have to be all that strenuous.  It will not only help our posture, but it will give us a feeling of greater confidence.

Chill Out a Little More

Learning to relax is another way of appearing more attractive.  When we show stress and anxiety, we appear less confident and more unsure of ourselves.  Meditation or some other relaxation practices can clear our minds and help us to make better decisions.  We will be seen as having greater command of our lives.  We will seem to be more in charge.  Try it and you will feel better about yourself.
