Technology is a wonderful modern luxury. It makes life easier and more convenient. Information is quite literally at the end of our fingertips, and we can use it to find almost anything. But technology has a downside. When we use it too much or at the wrong time of day, it can wreak havoc on our health. Unfortunately, most of us use technology at exactly the wrong time … before bed! If you're ready to improve your health and habits, take a look at these reasons to quit using your favorite device before bed.

The Light Affects Your Eyes

The light that emanates from computer screens and phones is incredibly hard on your eyes. You may have felt a slight burning or aching after staring at the screen for extended periods of time. It can cause strain, which can then lead to headaches and blurred vision. If you want to stop damage to the eyes, shut off your technology well before bed and give your eyes a chance to rest.

It Can Cause Disruption in Sleep

Technology has a way of winding up our brains, causing excessive thinking, and heightening stress. This, when done just before bed, can seriously disrupt our sleep. Do you toss and turn?
