3 Obvious Reasons You're Feeling Tired
By Genevieve Cunningham
Feeling tired seems normal to most people. We’re always tired. We’re rundown. We work too much and do too many activities. And yet, we all wonder why we’re tired. In most instances, the reason behind the fatigue is staring us in the face, but it's such a normal part of life, we don't recognize the problem. If you’re suffering from fatigue in your life, take a look at these obvious reasons why you're constantly tired.
You’re Going to Bed Too Late
Are you staying up and binge watching the newest Netflix original? Are you playing on your phone until the wee hours of the morning? If you're staying up late, you're probably not getting enough sleep total, which means you're bound to suffer from fatigue. How do you fix this problem? You have to go to bed earlier. You have to set a bedtime and stick to it. With just a little more sleep every night, your health, work, and perspective will improve.
You’re Waking Often During the Night
If you go to bed on time, but you wake up multiple times throughout the night, you're still not getting enough rest. If this is your normal routine, you're probably not falling into a deep sleep. And without deep sleep, your body isn't getting enough rest. This can be a really tough habit to break, as you don't have control over it. But drinking sleepy time tea, sleeping in a dark and quiet environment, and taking melatonin can all help.
You’re Overworking Through the Day
We're a work, work, work society. If you're working too much and too hard throughout the day, you may not be able to wind down enough at night. Of course, you can't really slack off during the day. Instead, just slow down. Work hard, but also smart. Take frequent breaks. The smarter you work, the better your chances of sleep at the day's end.
Feeling tired might seem normal, but there's no reason to suffer needlessly. You don't have to be constantly fatigued, even if that's been the norm for years. Check your daily routine for these weak spots. If they are present, you may be able to correct them with some minor changes. Adjust your routine, get more sleep, and feel better than ever before you know it.
