3 Places Where Toxins Are Hiding in Your Life
By Genevieve Cunningham
The world is full of toxins. You have undoubtedly heard about the dangers of consuming too many toxins. That's why the market is flooded with detox plans and toxin-free products. For a lot of people, these sound like nonsense. Our bodies are made to clear toxins and waste naturally, right? While it's true that the liver and kidneys filter the blood and clean our bodies on a regular basis, our bodies can only handle so much. When we bombard it with toxins, it can have a hard time keeping up. While most people avoid obvious toxins, it's possible that you're dealing with more than you realize. If you want to live as clean of a life as possible, take a look at these three hidden places where toxins can be eliminated for good.
Processed Foods
You obviously don't pick up poisonous foods and eat them. And you also do your best to avoid heavily contaminated products. You wash your vegetables and buy organic when possible. But for many, the dangers are lurking in the processed food, the foods that you buy pre-made and ready to eat. Some of these foods contain preservatives and other products that are made to increase longevity of the food. But our bodies often don't like these products. What can you do? Start by doing your research and knowing what to avoid, and then do your best to eat as fresh as possible to remove these products from your life.
Your Skin Care
Skincare products are definitely not all created equal. The United States allows multiple chemicals in skincare products that are actually banned in other countries. While these products are usually used in small doses, they're applied directly to the skin over long periods of time. You soak them in over and over again; eventually they can cause significant damage to your body. Do some research on clean and safe skincare products, and then choose something healthy to try. Then give it time! Your body will adjust to the new products, and without the harsh products, you may notice that your skin looks better than ever before.
Cleaning Supplies
Cleaning supplies are supposed to be tough, right? They have to eliminate germs and bacteria from the surfaces in our homes. While it's true that they should be effective, they don't have to bring harm to your health. Breathing in the harsh chemicals of cleaning products can cause headaches, irritate the lungs, and may even lead to an increased risk of certain diseases. If you want to live a clean life, buy a more natural product that still gets the job done.
Toxins are real. They're in many of the things that we consume and use on a daily basis. While our bodies are good at keeping us clean and healthy, it takes a little of the strain away if we do our part as well. Take a look at these products in your life and buy as clean as possible to improve your health now and protect yourself in the future as well.
