3 Kid Activities That Make Great Exercise
By Genevieve Cunningham
Being a kid is the best. We don't know it while we're in the throes of childhood, but it's one of the best times of our lives. No worries, little stress, and tons of play. Unfortunately, childhood lasts just a brief period, and then we're thrown into the world of work, bills, and other worries. But what if we could take a few pieces of childhood with us into adulthood? What if we could take a little of the fun and actually make it benefit our health? Luckily, you can! If you want a really fun way to improve your health, take a look at these kid-approved exercises to try today.
Jumping on a Trampoline
Jumping on a trampoline is so much fun. You can jump extra high, do flips, and bounce around. But when's the last time you were on a trampoline? Probably a long time ago! Jumping burns a lot of calories and forces you to use your muscles. If you have access to a trampoline, jump on it for fun and you'll get in a great workout at the same time.
Skipping
You probably haven't skipped since you were a very young child. It's something we naturally do as children and naturally stop doing as we get older. But if you want to burn a few calories, skipping might be slightly more beneficial than walking but without the stress of running. If you're embarrassed, do this in your backyard or somewhere a little more isolated. You'll probably giggle your way through and have a lot of fun in this easy, silly, fun exercise.
Riding a Bike
This is the kid activity that will really help you get in a good workout. Riding a bike burns a lot of calories. It works the lower half of the body most especially, and it can help tone your legs like never before. All you'll need is a bicycle and a free spirit. Pretend you're a kid again and just enjoy the ride. It doesn't have to be an intense ride to gain benefits. Have some fun, get in a ride, and your health will definitely improve.
Sometimes kids really have the right idea. Life should be full of play! Use these fun kid activities to get in a workout, have some fun, and to set up an active lifestyle that will last for the rest of your life.
