He obtained his medical degree from St. Mathews University School of Medicine, located in Oviedo, Florida. He then practiced pain medicine as a specialty, utilizing Prolotherapy and Platelets Rich Plasma Injections (PRP) to aleviate pain, in Nigeria for 5 years. With both a medical and chiropractic background, he is a great asset. For over 10 years, Dr. Boyd has maintained the reputation of being a competent and careful Chiropractor.

Dr. John Parlier, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Midtown

Dr. Parlier received his Bachelors of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland and graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University.

Introduced to chiropractic over 20 years ago, Dr. Parlier knows the benefits of chiropractic care first hand. He spent his youth riding horses and working on a farm. Along with many falls, as well as the inherent stresses on his body that went with riding, his back and knees were constantly in pain. At the age of 25, he went to work for an equine chiropractor in Maryland. One day, that Chiropractor noticed Dr. John limping and regularly complaining about his back pain. She adjusted him several times over a week at the barn, and his pains started to go away. After that, he continued with regular care at her office.

Dr. Parlier is known and respected for the thorough and comprehensive examination and diagnosis that he provides to each patient.

In his spare time, Dr Parlier enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and his 4 children and their weiner dog, Titus.

Dr. Andrew Nichols, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Midtown

Dr. Andrew Nichols joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2021 when he became part of the team at the Midtown clinic, where he does the rewarding work of helping people in Atlanta as their local healthcare provider.

“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is that the personal connections made with my patients make working as a chiropractor so fulfilling and fun,” he says. “The other thing I love is the physical aspect of my job. With my hands and gentle forces, chiropractic allows our patients’ bodies to heal from within, to function optimally, and to stay healthy for a lifetime.”

A product of New Jersey, Dr. Nichols enjoys weightlifting and playing soccer and basketball. He attended the University of Delaware and earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry; he then went to Life University in Marietta and got his doctorate. He worked previously in Tucker.

“I always wanted to work in healthcare but chiropractic’s proactive approach to wellness resonated with me more than medicine or pharmacy ever did,” he says.

In Case You Didn’t Know

Dr. Nichols is a big fan of spicy condiments: “I always keep Sriracha in my fridge because I put it on everything.”

If he could sit down with any four people from history, he would love to engage with Nelson Mandela, baseball legend Lou Gehrig, and singers Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift: “I bet they all have learned amazing lessons and have some great stories to tell.”

He says the most amazing thing he has done was “jump off a cliff in South Africa, free-falling for 250 feet and swinging through the canyon underneath. It was so cool because it was terrifying, the views were amazing, and the adrenaline rush lasted for hours afterward.”

Dr. Rebecca Saunders, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Midtown

Dr. Rebecca Saunders became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2022 when she began serving residents in the Atlanta area, where she does the work she finds so rewarding.

“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is seeing a patient’s face light up after an adjustment and they realize their pain is gone,” she says. “I love being part of the patient’s health journey.”

Dr. Rebecca, as she is known to those patients, grew up in Macon and attended Gordon State College, where she received a bachelor’s degree in biology. She then earned her doctorate from Life University in Marietta, graduating with honors Magna Cum Laude.

Her husband, Isaac, is a 6-foot-7 Twitch streamer and they share a chow chow named Bear and a cat named Samus. Dr. Rebecca loves reading, hiking, and kickboxing.

“After seeing my mom suffer for years, I knew I wanted to help people like her get better,” she says. “I was inspired by my mom’s health journey as she turned to natural ways to heal her body. I heard about chiropractic at Life University’s open house weekend, and after listening to the testimonies of how chiropractic can facilitate healing, I knew this was the path for me.”

In Case You Didn’t Know

If she could bring together any four people from history for her ideal dinner party, Dr. Rebecca would break bread with Jim Carrey “because he’s Jim Carrey, Ricky Gervais because he would inevitably offend everyone at the party, Hugh Jackman because he would break into song and dance, and Ryan Reynolds, who would narrate the entire evening.”

One of the best stories Dr. Rebecca could tell her guests would be “that time I conquered the most dangerous hike in Georgia, Yonah Mountain.”

The one thing she always keeps in her refrigerator is oat milk creamer: “It makes drinking coffee a happier experience.”

Dr. Jacob Anderson, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Midtown

Dr. Jacob Anderson became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2021 when he began serving residents in Atlanta, where he continues doing the work he finds so rewarding.

“The best thing about working as a chiropractor is being able to help people get back to doing the things they love without pain or restriction,” he says. “I love how many different people I get to meet. People from so many diverse backgrounds frequently find their way into The Joint and it is so cool to see that, no matter how many differences people have, all of them will benefit from chiropractic care.”

Raised in Natchitoches, La., Dr. Anderson attended University of Louisiana at Monroe before going to Life University, where he graduated summa cum laude on his way to getting his doctorate of chiropractic. He worked previously in Marietta, Kennesaw, Alpharetta, and Cumming.

In his spare time, Dr. Anderson -- you can also call him Dr. Jacob -- enjoys spending time with friends, playing and watching sports, and being active.physically.

“I remember my first experience shadowing a chiropractor,” he says. “Nearly every patient who walked in the door was effusive in their praise for the doctor and the work he did in helping them get back to doing the things that were important to them or helping them avoid surgery. I knew then that I wanted to be in a field that could have this big of an impact on the quality of people’s lives.”

In Case You Didn’t Know

If he could bring together any four people from history for his ideal dinner party, Dr. Anderson would send invitations to assassinated San Francisco supervisor Harvey Milk, tennis superstar Serena Williams, singer Lady Gaga, and comedy writer Bowen Yang.

“They are all people who were, or are, successful in their respective fields but who have had different things they had to overcome to have their careers,” he says. “I just think there is so much I could learn from them about persevering when there was not necessarily someone like them who could serve as a role model or example of success.

Dr. Anderson says the one thing he always keeps stocked in his refrigerator is a carton of eggs: “They are delicious, but they are also very nutritious.and easy to prepare.” One of his favorite experiences took place in 2021 when “my friend and I were able to be in attendance when the Braves advanced to the World Series for the first time in over 20 years,” he says. “The collective excitement and energy in the stadium was unlike anything else I had experienced.”

Dr. Ryan Paramo, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Midtown

Dr. Paramo then received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University in Marietta, Georgia. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and was an active member in chiropractic neurology and sports rehabilitation. Dr. Paramo practiced in Denver, Colorado specializing in auto accident and personal injury recovery. He mainly treated whiplash, low back pain and migraines with manual manipulations, cold laser, all-natural supplements and acupuncture.

Dr. Paramo believes that routine chiropractic care allows anyone regardless of limitations to achieve their optimum health goals and live their best life by having a proper functioning nervous system. Dr. Paramo joined The Joint team in Atlanta December 2018 to accomplish these goals with you.

Dr. Paramo enjoys lifting weights and playing basketball at LA fitness. He likes to talk sports and complain about his Detroit teams. Dr. Paramo and his fiancé Claire enjoy exploring Atlanta and bike riding around the city. He loves cooking, reading and playing with his two dogs Jango and Mowgli. Dr. Paramo is a huge fan of coffee and must have one every morning. Dr. Paramo being a huge fan of sports would be honored to be in the presence of Kobe Bryant, Barry Sanders, John Beilein and the legendary Dan Patrick for an ultimate dinner party. The most rewarding thing he has done is travel to El Salvador and provide chiropractic care to an underprivileged community that do not have access to traditional medicine or any alternative form of health care.

Dr. Paramo believes in chiropractic care because it helped him recover from a gruesome hit in high school that almost ended his high school and college lacrosse career. With the aid of chiropractic, he was able to avoid long term chronic issues and it inspired him to pursue down the career path that helped him the most over what traditional medicine could not offer.

Dr. Kevin Stalls, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Midtown

Dr. Kevin Stalls joined the family of local healthcare providers with The Joint Chiropractic in 2019 with his arrival at the East Atlanta clinic location. Dr. Stalls -- you can also call him Dr. Kevin -- graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in theater arts from Colorado State University before earning a doctorate of chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College.

“The thing I like most about being in this field is that chiropractic really does help people feel better,” Dr. Stalls says. “I like the opportunity to be a calming and caring presence in someone else’s life.”

Dr. Stalls is no stranger to Atlanta professionally, but as a self-described military brat, he is also no stranger to Texas, Virginia, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Iceland.

When he’s not working or spending time with his family, which includes two daughters, a Chihuahua named Rothko, and a wife he describes as “the absolute best,” Dr. Stalls enjoys cooking.

Although he thinks his true calling is as an actor and writer, Dr. Stalls knew he had found his purpose at the very beginning of his career. “I was finally at clinic at TCC and I started treating someone with severe back pain, as well as PTSD, and I was able to help him so much in life,” he says. “I knew then that I was going to have a major positive impact on the lives of many people as a chiropractor.”

He could not be happier that he is now having a major positive impact on his current patients.

“I really like working at East Atlanta because I really feel like a part of the community,” Dr. Stalls says, “and I fit right in because it’s a very laid back group of people who live here.”

In Case You Didn’t Know

One of the things that’s always stocked in Dr. Stalls’ refrigerator is butter. “Butter,” he says, “makes everything better.”

If Dr. Stalls could bring together any four characters from history for the dinner party of his dreams, he would include two actors, a motivational speaker, and a talk show host. “Jack Lemmon is my all-time favorite actor, and Hugh Jackman is a versatile actor and all-around good guy,” he says. “Tony Robbins is unique, a powerful force of nature full of positive energy, and Ellen DeGeneres is a great light of love and acceptance -- and she’s hilarious.”

Dr. Stalls says one of the coolest things he has ever experienced was attending a performance at the the magic bar in Snowmass, Colo., before it closed down: “One of the best magicians in the world blew my mind right in front of me as I drank a Labatt Bleue in the beautiful snowy Rockies.”

Dr. Gavin discovered chiropractic after injuring his back playing football in high school. He had great results and decided he wanted to help others heal from their injuries.

Outside of the office, Dr. Gavin enjoys weightlifting, hiking, basketball and trying all types of new foods.
