But just because there are so many, does that mean that it’s a healthy approach to fitness? Not necessarily. The truth is that our bodies need fat in order to function properly, and when we deprive it of fats, it can seriously suffer. Grab a Handful of Nuts
Almonds, cashews, pistachios, peanuts … all of these contain healthy amounts of both fat and protein. To get a little dose of healthy fat, just make a handful of nuts one of your snacks during the day. You can change it up, mix nuts, or stick with your favorite every day. Any way you go about it, a few nuts in the right amount can bring you plenty of benefits without the negative side effects.

Coconut oil is an excellent source of healthy fat. While this is becoming more common knowledge, many people are still unsure about how to add it to the menu. For starters, just try cooking with it. Need to fry an egg? Use coconut oil. Need oil in a recipe? Use coconut oil. The key is to use it in the right amounts. Coconut oil has a strong flavor, so you might have to experiment with the right measurement to keep your food from being overpowered by the taste.

This green treat is one of the best ways to get healthy fat in your diet. Slice it up and eat it raw, mash it into a guacamole, or do whatever you like with it. It’s easy to prepare and tastes fresh and delicious. Just keep in mind that this food is fairly high calorie, so you’ll need to eat it sparingly or measure out the proper serving size so that you can keep your daily calorie count under control.
