I suppose this review is somewhat moot now this location is without chiropractors and closed, but I have a feeling my experience was not an anomaly with The Joint establishments. I've been receiving chiropractic care regularly for the past 13 years and I have lived in several states during that time so I have seen a multitude of chiropractors all with different philosophies, training, and methods. I have NEVER in that 13 years felt unsafe or concerned for my physical safety... until I received my first adjustment at your clinic. The chiropractor was professional and personable BUT was extremely aggressive in his adjustment--so much so I felt my body was being wrenched and pulled far beyond anything safe, especially considering we are addressing the spine and nervous system. I don't know what kind of training your doctors receive or the certificates or training they must keep up to date, but whatever it is, it is not appropriate or adequate. And perhaps it was only this one doctor, but, regardless, I cannot in good conscience come back or ever recommend your clinic to anyone. Also, sidenote in comparison, but the lack of privacy and 'assembly line' style to chiropractic is not doing you any favors. If I want to talk about a sensitive health issue, the last thing I want to do is speak about it in front of several strangers sitting mere feet away.

I came to the joint mostly for the hours. I worked a very strenuous job with long hours and could not get into my regular chiropractor. Really enjoy the friendly staff. I like paying a monthly fee and able to come once a week. Very happy overall with everything. It all works for me.

I got everything I paid for and more! I visited the joint chiropractic during their grand opening. I really appreciated the strong community presence during this event. Craig was very obviously a friendly favorite of all the patients who showed up. You could immediately tell the health and wellness of our community was his number 1 priority. Even with all of the celebration happening he still made a point to talk to every person about the joint clinic and their mission to fill the hole of affordable care available locally. I initially came because I was promised good local food and I work at a desk. I was really impressed the event was catered by a small business in Champaign too! The food was incredible but the main attraction was the doctors! After experiencing other chiropractors in the area I was nervous the paperwork would be never ending and I would be waiting FOREVER. The girl at the front desk was cute and really friendly. She carefully went over the paperwork and made sure I was comfortable asking any additional questions. There were lots of opportunities for me to express any pain or lifestyle changes that could effect my care. She told me you never need an appointment and I was amazed. They have extended office hours plus weekday and weekend availability. The doctor greeted me and we went back to the consultation area. The open area is unique. The openness made me more comfortable than being locked away in a small room. The doctor followed up with me a few days after my initial adjustment to see how I was feeling. I expected some soreness since my literal bones and skeletal muscles were being adjusted around. After a bit initial light soreness I felt incredible and incentivized to be mindful of my posture throughout the day. I work nearby. I saw the signs for a free first consultation and adjustment. No appointment was necessary I walked right in. Craig at the front desk is a very kind gentleman. He explained everything very thoroughly prior to me meeting the doc. Brian was also kind and very welcoming. His work felt gentle and mild. I signed up immediately once I heard the price. On my second visit I walked right in no appointment, got worked on by Keith. Once again a very kind and welcoming dude. His work was way more firm and aggressive, in a good way. Went the week they opened to take advantage of the free first visit. Was greeted right when I walked in and got the full rundown of the clinic and how they operate. After filling out paperwork for roughly 5 minutes the Doctor brought me back and did a review of my history and where my pain was. The Doctor did a great job explaining everything he was doing and after the first visit I already felt like a new person. I decided to purchase the $69 Wellness package to allow me to come back each week for follow up work. I decided to write the review because just now I received a follow up call from one of the Doctors to see how I was feeling and if I had any questions about my treatment. Incredibly impressed with everyone I met at The Joint and plan to continue to go back regularly. 2

Also, I really appreciate that they have a doctor on staff with advanced training in providing chiropractic care to pregnant and postpartum women. I would recommend calling ahead to make sure that she is there on the day you want to get in. I can tell that my headaches have been subsiding, and I don’t need to take over-the-counter painkillers as often!

The Joint was a great experience I wasn't expecting much because the prices were so low but BOY was I wrong. the front desk lady Allison was super nice and genuinely brightened up my day with her corny jokes, Dr McGregor was through and really took his time with me. I'm a flight attendant and I popped into this place on a whim because it's near my hotel. I've been seeing a chiropractor / masseuse and a physical therapist / Chiropractor near my house, but neither has been able to really fix this shoulder / hip problem that's been bugging me for two months. Dr. Brian at this location gave me a pretty thorough exam and said my hips had shifted higher on the right which is what was causing my hip pain. He did an adjustment there and showed me some stretches that I can actually do in the jumpseat for when it bugs me. He did a full adjustment on me which I've been wanting since my last amazing chiropractor who retired five years ago. I walked out feeling looser with just that slight muscle ache you get after an adjustment, but I can already tell that he did exactly what I've been trying to get my two regular chiropractors to do. I'm going to look into signing up with this place when I get home, but I'm going to sign up through this branch instead of the Chicago branch. I want Dr. Brian to be my regular Chiropractor. (Dr. Brian, if you are reading this, you will see me again when I'm next in Champaign.). I also really like their receptionist. She thinks she's s funny, but she had to pay me $12 to laugh at her jokes. (Just kidding... I did not get paid for this review... But this is an office you can definitely relax and be yourself at.). If you're in pain, hit this place up. They won't pressure you into buying more and will be honest about what you need.
