Walking, Cycling, Swimming

Walking, cycling, and swimming are all great ways to help with joint pain. They are all low-stress activities that can help improve heart and bone health, soothe joints, improve sleep and the immune system, boost your mood, and even help to maintain or even lose weight which can be good for your joints. The less weight there is on your joints, the less stressed they will be. All of these exercises are excellent choices for helping to improve any joint pain that you may have.

Strength Training, Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates

Strength training helps because the stronger your muscles are, the less strain there will be on your joints. Yoga and tai chi are both excellent ways to help with some balance issues that can occur with joint problems. They both can also help you to flexibility and range of motion. Pilates helps with strength training which can give you a low impact workout that can help relieve joint pain and even cope with the symptoms of things like rheumatoid arthritis.

Working Around the House

Sometimes even something as simple as working around the house can help to improve your joint pain. Cleaning your house, doing yard work such as pulling weeds, raking leaves, or cutting the grass could help. You could even find ways to improvise for some light weight training.
