Time-Saving Wellness Tips
By Sara Butler
As life gets busier and busier, it can be easy to put your health and wellness at the end of the to-do list. If you need help freeing up some time so you can spend it investing in your health and your family, then you need to follow a few of these time-saving tips to help you lower stress and make time for the things that really matter.
Keep Your Calendar Handy
Whether you’re single or have a large family, keeping a calendar someplace you see it often (the kitchen or on your desk) will make it easier to visualize the things you need to get done. Put all activities on this calendar, such as parties, music lessons, school programs, sports, exercise, meetings, and so on. This helps you stay on track and hopefully not overschedule yourself.
Cook Ahead
You’ll save yourself a lot of time and stress by planning your meals out for the week and prepping them in advance. It’ll also help you to eat a little healthier since many evenings, the last thing you may want to do when you get home from your commitments is cook dinner!
Try cooking in large batches so you can eat the leftovers all week long. Even just having a plan can help you to save time and eat well.
Pay Your Bills All at Once
Instead of paying off your monthly bills one at a time, sit down and pay them all at once. No one likes to pay bills, but this will help you get the dreaded task over and done with so you don’t have to worry about it for the rest of the month. Also, consider setting up direct payments each month to save more time.
Make Time for Television
This one may surprise you, but it’s important to schedule television time so you don’t do too much of it. It’s so easy to get caught up in a show and then before you know it, spend a whole day binging. Don’t lose precious hours to the television; schedule time for it and stick to the schedule.
Have a Routine
In the evening, prepare all you’ll need for the next morning the night before. That way, you won’t spend the morning trying to run around and gather up all you need. Doing it the night before will help reduce stress and start your day off brighter!
Wellness can easily be made a part of your routine. These tips can get you off to a great start!
