Dr. Briscoe is a native of Louisiana, born and raised in Monroe. She earned a bachelor’s of Science in Education degree at McNeese State University on a track scholarship. It is there she found her passion for chiropractic care. Dr. Briscoe graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in 2018. She became Webster Certified while at TCC to provide safe and effective chiropractic care for mother and baby. Her hobbies include DIY projects, spending time with family, and fashion. She enjoys hunting and all things outdoors. Some of her favorite things about Louisiana are its unique wildlife and friendly people. Dr. Briscoe is passionate about serving her surrounding cities and providing a level of excellence in health care that everyone deserves.
Dr. Keith Cormier became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2022 when he began serving residents in the Baton Rouge area, where he continues doing the work he finds so rewarding.
“There is nothing better than helping people resolve health problems and become healthier with only my hands -- and sometimes a leg,” he says. “I love what I do!”
Dr. Cormier grew up in the heart of Acadiana, Mermentau, and worked previously in Monroe, Winnsboro, Bastrop, and Lafayette.
He lives with a flat-coated retriever named Bear, a schnauzer mix named Lolo, and a cat named Chairman Meow Meow. In his spare time, he enjoys singing and playing guitar, golfing, camping, kayaking, cooking, “and eating.”
He earned his doctorate in chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas; before that, he graduated from Northeast Louisiana with a bachelor’s degree in toxicology and a minor in chemistry.
“After graduating with a bachelor’s degree, I returned to college and started nursing school,” he says. “I had also applied to chiropractic college and was studying to take the LSATs and the dental aptitude test when I was accepted to chiropractic college. After my first month in chiropractic college, I knew that I was going to be a chiropractor the rest of my working career.”
One of his most memorable patients had been suffering a constant headache for more than eight years. “He had taken a fall from 30 feet and landed on the side of his face,” he says. “After serious deliberation with myself on whether or not to adjust him, I did so. He stood up from the table in tears. When I asked why he was crying, he responded, ‘my headache is gone.’”
In Case You Didn’t Know
If he could bring together any four people from history for his ideal dinner party, Dr. Cormier would sit down with Led Zeppelin band members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham. “These four guys are, or were, considered to be on the list of ‘the greatest’ at the instrument they played or vocals,” he says. “In my opinion, because they were so great and played in the same band, I consider Led Zeppelin to be the greatest rock ‘n’ roll band of all-time. Being surrounded by this kind of greatness at the dinner table would be really cool.”
Dr. Cormier is a big fan of spices, and keeps several stocked in his pantry to satisfy his Cajun tastes.
Dr. Silas Jennings became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2022 when he began serving residents in Baton Rouge with the work he finds so rewarding.
“The most rewarding thing about being a chiropractor is the ability to get patients back to what they love doing most pain-free,” he says. “I love having the ability to help patients become pain-free without drugs and/or surgery.”
A product of northern Louisiana, Dr. Jennings worked previously in Bossier City and Shreveport. When he’s not palling around with his Australian shepherd Prince, Dr. Jennings likes golfing excursions and weightlifting.
He earned his doctorate of chiropractic from Parker University in Dallas after attending Louisiana State, where he got a bachelor’s of science in kinesiology.
Dr. Jennings’ first-hand experience as a patient sold him on chiropractic: “I suffered a devastating back injury, yet chiropractic care helped me come away from it,” something that happens today after he gives care. “I’ve had many memorable situations in which patients have told me that they are able to do things they haven’t done in years because of the care that I provided,” he says.
In Case You Didn’t Know
If he could bring together any four people from history for his ideal dinner party, Dr. Jennings include DD Palmer, the founder of chiropractic; Albert Einstein, and entrepreneurs Elon Musk and Bill Gates.
He says the coolest thing he has done was watch sunrise at the summit of Haleakala on Maui, Hawaii.
One of the most influential books he has read is Can’t Hurt Me: Master Your Mind and Defy the Odds by David Goggins: “It was a great book that helped me realize that I am capable of overcoming any adversity that comes in life.”
Dr. Kevin hails from Houma, LA, where he graduated from Vandebilt Catholic High School in 1977. He attended Nicholls State University on an athletic scholarship after earning a Top-10 ranking in the state of Louisiana in Boys’ 18 and under tennis. He graduated from Nicholls State in 1984 with degrees in psychology, biology and a minor in chemistry and moved on to Los Angeles, CA, for chiropractic college later that same year. In 1988, he graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College of L.A. and moved back to Louisiana to begin private practice. He is licensed to practice in both California and Louisiana. Dr. Kevin still plays tennis and is a musician, magician and avid gun enthusiast. He shoots combat-style hand-gunning competitively, as well. He’s married to Leslie Bergeron, also from Houma, and has a teenaged son, Ethan.
Dr. Justin Trosclair became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2022 when he began serving residents in the Baton Rouge area, where he continues doing the work he finds so rewarding.
“The thing I like best about being in the chiropractic field is that, if you’re willing, you can live in foreign countries and deliver chiropractic adjustments while fully immersing yourself in other cultures,” he says. “The other thing I love is that you’re always growing your communication and clinical skills.”
A true cajun raised in Acadiana, Dr. Justin has worked previously in Lafayette, as well as Denver, China, and Germany.
He and his wife, who excels at making sushi, have a daughter. When not spending time with them, Dr. Justin enjoys podcasting, writing books, and doing CVs for doctors. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Louisiana State, then his doctorate at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Tex.
The validation of his career comes from the everyday aspects of his job. “Every day I see the direct impact of my treatment helping others get pain-free and back to their normal daily activities,” Dr. Justin says. “I leave the office every day knowing my life has an impact on my community.”
One of his great joys is seeing many students at the practice. “It’s nice to be able to offer advice, encouragement, et cetera, at an important time in their lives,” he says.
In Case You Didn’t Know
If he could sit down with any four people from history, Dr. Justin would love to break bread with the Apostle Paul. “He was a physician and would have some unique views on things,” he says. “I would include author Donald Miller, who’s a great storyteller and marketer; business magnate John C. Bogle to discuss economics; and Chen Lihua, founder of Fu Wah, the largest real estate developer in China.”
Dr. Justin spent five years in China. “I worked at a hospital so I got to experience the type of China one would really get, and was able to write four books during my off time,” he says.
A food item that he always has stocked in his refrigerator is lotus root: “It’s versatile - - like potatoes.”
