Dr. Nicholas Divan joined The Joint Chiropractic in Creve Coeur, Missouri in October 2019 as Clinic Director and has established a great following in the community.
Originally from Mission Viejo, California, Dr. Divan is a 2010 graduate of the University of Iowa, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He became interested in chiropractic while dealing with frequent injuries as a swimmer when other forms of therapy weren’t helping, and earned a Doctor of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic right here in St. Louis, Missouri in 2013.
Dr. Divan says being a chiropractor at The Joint Chiropractic in Creve Coeur is rewarding: “The best thing about being in the chiropractic profession and a chiropractor at The Joint Chiropractic in Creve Coeur is getting to focus on what I do best – educating and treating patients about proper biomechanics as well as the importance of maintaining spinal health.”
Dr. Divan’s professional journey has included a stint working in Rancho Santa Margarita, California and 5+ years in St. Louis.
During his free time, Dr. Divan enjoys lifting weights, cooking and grilling in the St. Louis and Creve Coeur, Missouri areas, as well as spending time with family, friends, his wife Jennifer and 2 dogs – Stella and Paisley.

Dr. Divan is a member of the St. Louis Royals Rugby alumni, where he played for 2 years.
Dr. Divan’s perfect dinner party would include his wife, maternal grandfather Tom, swimming mentor Chad Carvin and chiropractic mentor Dr. Flores. “It would at least be very entertaining for everyone around us,” he says.
Dr. Divan says the coolest thing he’s ever done was competing in the 2008 USA Swimming Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska. “Not only did I get to compete at the highest level and achieve my dream as a swimmer, but my family took 40 of my closest family and friends were there to cheer me on!”
Dr. Ed Ernstrom joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2021 and was named Managing Doctor of Chiropractic and Clinic Director at The Joint Chiropractic in Central West End, located in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Ernstrom is originally from Martinez, California. He attended Brigham Young University and graduated in 2005 with a B.S. in Exercise Science.
Dr. Ernstrom says, “I was first interested in the sports medicine world. I called all the chiropractors and physical therapists in that area asking if they might be hiring. Only the chiropractors were willing to entertain my application for work. As they interviewed me to be an employee, I was interviewing them about their profession. I agreed with them that surgery and pain medications were being over utilized. I found out the chiropractic was an amazing option for individuals that are looking for care that didn’t default to surgery and opiates.”
Dr. Ernstrom moved forward with chiropractic and attended Logan University and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2010.
Dr. Ernstrom knew chiropractic was his calling because it came naturally. “It is my personality to be a helper and an entertainer. I have intuitive use of my hands. My brain thinks in the ways of biomechanics (force, vectors, torque, etc.). As I began to first treat individuals as a student, I felt at home performing care on individuals large and small, old and young,” he says.
r. Ernstrom says, “The best part of being in the chiropractic field is being the first chiropractor for an individual. In the United States, more than 90% of the population have never been to a chiropractor. Every time I am the first chiropractor for someone means that one more person will now know that there are more options to help them without surgery and medications for their pain.”
Dr. Ernstrom says the best thing about working at The Joint Chiropractic is, “When the patient comes off the table and thanks me with a smile.”
Dr. Ernstrom enjoys spending time with his wife Cambria and 3 sons (Zach, Brigg and Rock), as well as smoking/grilling met and exercising.

Dr. Ernstrom says his perfect dinner party would include his wife and 3 sons. “My oldest will be leaving the house soon and I will be an empty nester in about five years. Any time I can spend with all of them together is a cherished moment,” he says.
Dr. Ernstrom says he has done many cool things in his life. He has run for local office, survived a hurricane, had a close call with a tornado and experience both large and small earthquakes. “The single coolest thing I have ever done is being married for over 20 years and raising my 3 boys,” he says.

Dr. Mike is originally from St. Charles, Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri and graduated in 2017 with a degree in Health Science.
Originally, independently of one another, several family members suggested Dr. Mike look into the chiropractic profession. “In a week’s time I had three relatives recommend chiropractic and I took that as a sign for me to pursue it,” he says.
Dr. Mike says, “I knew I wanted to get into the health/medical field due to my passion for helping others. Chiropractic offered me the best path to be hands-on with people and make a difference in their quality of life.”
He went on to attend Logan University and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2020.
Dr. Mike says the best part of being in the chiropractic field is, “Getting to work with a wide variety of people and seeing the impact you have on a person is very rewarding.”
