Slightly Odd Exercises That Can Get You Ripped

Who said that exercise has to be boring? Even though no one ever really said this, many of us treat exercise in this way. We think that we have to do the same old exercises over and over again. We think that anything new or fun must not really work. But luckily, that’s not true at all! Exercise can be new, fun, challenging, and exciting all at the same time. And sometimes, it can even be … a little odd! If you’re looking for some new ways to work out effectively, take a look at these odd exercises that can still help you get ripped.
Battle Ropes
A lot of people haven’t even heard of these beast ropes. Battle ropes are big, heavy ropes that are made for working out. You hold them in one hand, and either let them lie free on the other side, or have another person hold the opposite end. You’ll then use your muscles to whip the ropes in various patterns. It might sound easy, but the weight and length of the ropes makes this workout really taxing. These ropes are fairly expensive, so you may check out a gym with these before you add them into your workout budget.
Aerial Dance
This is a really cool kind of cross between yoga and dance … and it’s done in the air! You’ll have to find a studio or gym that offers this class, as you’re unlikely to be able to do it all alone. So what does it look like? You’ll hang in these long sash type ropes from the ceiling. And once you’re fully supported in the ropes, you’ll do a variety of poses that require you to hold your own bodyweight. Those who try this kind of exercise report that it’s both taxing and a ton of fun. If you’re looking for something really different but really fun, this might be a good place to start.
Kranking
Kranking can give your arms an incredible workout. What is it? It’s basically like spinning, except you’ll use your hands and arms to turn the bike instead of your legs. By the end of class, your arms, chest, and back will be burning. But over time, you’ll develop some serious muscles and definition in these areas of the body, leaving you looking more ripped than ever before.
Working out doesn’t have to be boring. You don’t have to do the same old routine day in and day out. You can totally change it up, and you can use some really cool exercises to get fit. Use these as a starting off point, and you’ll be ripped and having a blast before you know it.
