Find Your Energy Naturally!
By Donna Stark
Many of us are struggling with the new schedule of working or studying at home. Between wrecked sleeping routines and ultra-comfy sofas and life in our pajamas, it's no wonder why motivation and productivity are at an all-time low. If you are finding that the comforts of your home won't leave you alone, that your eyelids are constantly feeling heavy, and that your lack of sleep has a way of finding you, especially when you are working or studying during the day, keep reading! Your local chiropractors at The Joint Chiropractic have put together a list of tips that will help you find some energy! Take a look.
Get Up and Take a Walk
If you want to find some extra energy, you may need to expend some first! By taking a step away from your computer or laptop and heading outdoors for a short walk, you can give yourself that much-needed energy boost that your body and mind are screaming for! Walking helps to get your blood pumping which increases oxygen flow throughout the body. It can also help increase the production of hormones that are key to elevating energy levels.
Give Your Eyes a Break
There is nothing more draining to our eyes than to stare at a computer or a phone screen for hours on end, and we all know that tired eyes make our entire bodies feel tired, don't we? So give your eyes a break and find something else to do periodically throughout the day. It's the best way to help your eyes relax.
Eat a Healthy Snack
Even though all types of food give you some amount of energy, it's important to steer clear of the bad ones and stick with the ones that provide plenty of nutrition. Sugary or processed foods may give you that initial feeling of increased energy but it is generally followed by a crash which can leave you feeling foggy and lethargic. A better choice to increase your energy levels and maintain your focus is to stock up on healthy snacks such as bananas, eggs, apples, oatmeal, yogurt, hummus, berries, nuts, and seeds. Don't forget to choose water as your beverage choice, too!
Monotonous work can be brutal, not only to your energy levels but also to your spirit! So, when you find yourself in its grasp, switch to a more stimulating task. Whether the task stimulates your mind or gets you physically active, you will be sure to appreciate the impact it has on your day!
Increasing your energy naturally will help you get through your days at home a lot easier, so give one, or all of the above suggestions a try! Or just come in to see your local chiropractors at The Joint Chiropractic for even more tips! They are more than happy to share what they know!
