Need Some Reasons to Join the Gym? Here's a List!
By Donna Stark
I don't know what it is about Top 10 or "The Best of ... " lists, but if one happens to cross my path, I always feel compelled to take a look at it. Even if I have no interest in knowing what the subject matter is about, I still use my valuable time to sit down and read it. As a result, I now know which states make the best applesauce, where the best historical movie theaters are located, and what the top reasons to jump out of an airplane are. I'm a wealth of knowledge, so I thought I would pass some of that along to you. And obviously, it's going to be in a list.
Top Reasons to Join a Gym
Have you been thinking about joining a gym recently? Do you hear your friends talk about how much fun they have in classes? Well, it's always a good time to join a gym and if you are still on the fence about it, here is a list of the top reasons to do so!
- Improved energy - If you are feeling low on energy, a gym is a perfect place to head to! Exercising is the best way to boost those energy levels, even if your workout is just a quick run on the treadmill.
- Better moods - In addition to boosting your energy levels, working out can also boost your mood, even on those bad days of the week. So get those happy endorphins released in your body and start experiencing better days.
- Common interests - Isn't it nice to be involved with something and know that you are surrounded by people with the same interests? Well, everyone is at the gym for the same reason, to get fit and become healthier, so it's easy to meet others who are on the same path as you.
- Successful results - Have you had some health or fitness goals written on a vision board for the last couple of years, but just haven't been able to reach them? Exercise can help! You will find that in no time, you will be able to lose that weight, run that marathon, or register for that fitness competition.
- Longer, healthier life - It's never too late to start taking action for improved health, so no matter what your age, a gym membership is always a good idea. In addition to improving your health and your fitness level, daily exercise will also help you live longer.
Make Your Own List
Exercise improves so many different elements of your life that you may become inspired to create your very own list of all the benefits you receive from it. And hey! If it ever gets published or if you happen to leave it on a public bulletin board and I walk by, you can bet all the money in your pocket that I will sit down to read it!
