3 Great Outdoor Workouts for Fall

The fall weather is finally starting to creep in. Slightly cooler days and nights are becoming more and more common. When this happens every year, the entire attitude and atmosphere of people changes. People get a little more relaxed, a little excited, and start to spend more time in the great outdoors. The weather is mood lifting and inviting. Because of the great temps and cool breezes, now is a great time to change up your workout by taking it outdoors. Take a look at these great workouts that feel twice as good when performed outside.

Hiking

Hiking is a great way to stay in shape. It has all of the wonderful benefits of walking, but it’s just a bit more challenging and much more scenic. You can choose your difficulty level by choosing your course. Want an insane challenge? Go ahead and hike up that mountain. Want something a little gentler? Find a local park with a scenic walking trail. This is a great way to spend time outdoors, and a fun way to change up your exercise for fall.

Yoga

If you have never tried yoga outdoors, it’s simply a must. Yoga is a powerful exercise that works the muscles, calms the mind, enriches your breathing, and works to connect you to your surroundings. Because of this focus, doing yoga outside brings a whole new exciting aspect to your practice. You’ll probably find it a slightly greater challenge to focus, but the reward at the end is greater, as well.

Sports

Now is a great time to gather with some friends and play some ball. Football, basketball, and soccer are all excellent choices and can be done with little equipment or money. You’ll not only work your muscles and build cardio, but you’ll enjoy the company of your friends. It’s a great way to change up your workout in one of the most fun ways possible. Choose a sport, grab some friends, and get outside for some fun fitness.

Sometimes changing up your workout can make all the difference. Feel free to change it up with the seasons. Doing so can keep it interesting, keep you motivated, and continuously challenge your body in new ways.
