Juggling Way Too Much? Let Chiropractic Help
By Sandy Schroeder
Sometimes overloads sneak up on us. When extra projects at work, new family demands, or other issues absorb every drop of energy, chiropractic may be able to help.
Seeing Your Chiropractor
The Joint Chiropractic helps people of all ages become more fit, enjoy better health, and learn more about wellness every day.
Let your chiropractor help you assess work/time/family overloads, and help regroup mentally and physically. Ongoing aches and pains, headaches, neck, back and other joint issues may be helped with a gentle targeted spinal adjustment.
Spinal health is important for overall health. The spine encases the central nervous system that controls everything we do. When the spine is healthy, we probably are too.
Often, patients experience more energy, better sleep and less stress, and turn to weekly 15-minute spinal adjustments to keep the benefits coming. This may be the time to overhaul your daily routine to allow time for daily walking, jogging or workouts.
It may also be time to eat healthier, shed a few pounds, or try stress reducers like meditation, yoga, or tai chi classes. Your chiropractor will monitor your progress and provide the prevention and safety tips that you need. Here are a few to tackle.
Take a good look at your day and find pockets of time that work for a walk, run, or strengthening exercises. Consider time before breakfast, after lunch, or after work. Make it fun, find an exercise buddy, or revive a favorite sport. Just make it happen.
Scan the flow of events at home. Is there too much screen time and too little outdoor time? Do family suppers and weekend events need more attention? Call a family meeting and figure out what everybody wants.
Does every day spill over with extra hours? Do you take work home or live with your phone 24/7? Look closer and figure out ways to delegate, condense or refocus work to make it part of your day, not all of it.
Are you short-tempered, impatient, or agitated much of the time? Consider simple breathing exercises, or a short early morning meditation to get a better handle on stress. Keep looking for ways to relax, laugh, and let go of worries.
Count on your chiropractor to be there whenever you need help. I know a lot of people who have discovered this great source of support. They rely on it a lot.
