Dr. Frank Lopez became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2020 when he began serving residents in the Fort Worth area, where he continues doing the work he finds so rewarding.
“The thing I love most about being in the chiropractic field is that I am helping add life to people’s lives,” he says. “One of the other great perks is that it’s rewarding to meet new people and learn about them.”
Dr. Lopez is a product of Aubrey, Texas, and worked previously in Dallas. When he’s not in the office, he enjoys fishing, friends, and playing with his German shepherd, Mia.
He attended University of North Texas and studied pre-med before attending Parker University, where he received his doctorate of chiropractic. “I found out I wanted to be a chiropractor while I was in rotations during pre-med,” he says. “I found out how much chiropractic could help others, and I loved learning what the body was capable of doing.”

Dr. Lopez says the one thing he always keeps stocked in his refrigerator at home is Tapatio, “a hot sauce I can put on anything and make it delicious.”
If he could bring any figures from history together for his ideal dinner party, Dr. Lopez would assemble Jesus, King Leonidas, and weapons enthusiast John Lovell to the table. “From Jesus, I’d like to learn what it means to be a man of God and learn as much as I can,” he says. “From King Leonidas, I’d like to learn how to be a great man who can inspire and lead others, and from John Lovell I’d like to learn how to be a warrior poet and live for a higher purpose.”
Dr. Lopez says the coolest thing he has done had a heroic element to it. “When I was in high school, I witnessed a car accident and helped a woman out of her smoking car,” he says. “It was interesting because I was able to help someone in an immediate situation and change their life.”
Dr. Daniel Mays joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2021 when he became part of the team at the South Hulen clinic, where he does the rewarding work of helping people as a local healthcare provider.
“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is being able to help people get out of pain,” he says. “It brings satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment to help someone out of pain and to recover from an injury.
“My favorite body system to work with is the musculoskeletal system. Treating injuries to bones, joints, and muscles is very enjoyable to me.”
Dr. Mays was raised in Southern California and enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and spending time with his family.
He attended Parker University where his notable areas of study were nutrition, anatomy, health and wellness, and respiratory therapy.
“Chiropractic helped me overcome various musculoskeletal complaints and I wanted to help others do the same,” he says. “It’s incredible how quickly relief can be obtained when a fixated rib is manipulated.”

Dr. Mays says the one staple in his kitchen is rice: “It goes with everything and takes a long time to go bad.”
If he could bring together any four people from history for his ideal dinner party, he would include the “angelic doctor,” Saint Thomas Aquinas, whose combination of theology and philosophy helped him become one of the most influential figures of the Catholic church; the “seraphic doctor,” Saint Bonaventure, a scholastic theologian and philosopher; and Greek philosopher and polymath Aristotle. “I would invite them,” he says, “because they are some of the greatest intellects.”
One of his favorite and most personally meaningful books is Band of Brothers by Stephen E. Ambrose. “It was a very good book,” he says, “describing how the company stayed together and supported each other during World War II.”
