Hut, Hut ... Hike Your Way to Good Health

I think most people will agree that we all spend too much time indoors watching TV, working on our computers, and playing with our cell phones (or texting on our phones while watching TV). The worst is when we are watching a documentary about nature on the TV while we are sitting on the couch and playing with our phones. Ugh! Let’s drop these bad habits and head outdoors for a hike in nature -- real-life nature -- together!

Hiking is a chance to explore the world around us and to experience the beauty of the outdoors without the use of any cell phone filter. And keep in mind that spontaneity and surprise are the golden rules when you set out on a hike. Want to go left on the trail this time? Sure! Want to hike the same trail over and over again? Go ahead, because even a trail that has been hiked many times before is sure to deliver a surprise or two. And how could it not? Nature always has a way of surprising us. What you don’t want to be surprised about though is body soreness or injuries.
