The Best Foods to Eat for Your Body Type: Part 1

All of our bodies are different and store fat differently. This is why some people are able to lose weight quickly on one diet, while others will not lose any weight at all. This is also why health writers have classified the different body shapes into four types: Apple, Pear, Inverted Pyramid and Hourglass.

Eating the right way for your body type is the best way to improve your energy levels and help weight to come off naturally.

Apple Body Shapes

This body type is easy to spot because individuals gain and carry weight in their stomach area. Typically those with an apple shape have slender arms and legs without trying.

Those with apple body shapes typically crave starchy or sugary foods, diet sodas, and caffeine. Apples can know they are on a poor diet because the wrong foods will lead them to less energy and intense cravings around midmorning or after lunch.

The key for Apples to lose weight is to get their insulin levels under control. This means that a steady blood sugar level is crucial. To do this, Apples should eat a lot of clean protein, including chicken, lean beef, and fish. They should also include healthy fats and plenty of leafy greens in their diet. It is best for Apples to limit their starchy carbs to one meal a day and only eat low glycemic fruits, such as berries.

Pear Body Shapes

Those with a pear body shape are more likely to gain weight through their hips and thighs with a small lower abdominal pooch. Those with this body type tend to have a smaller upper body and smaller arms and chests.

Pears commonly crave high-fat dairy, lattes, and rich desserts. Pears can know that they are not eating the right way because they will experience unusual hunger between meals or at the end of the night after dinnertime. This can be attributed to too much estrogen in the body.

The best foods for Pears to eat are a lot of high-fiber fruits and vegetables. Healthy grains, such as oats, quinoa, and brown rice are also a great idea, alongside small amounts of lean protein and clean, non-dairy sources of fat, i.e. avocados not cheese.

It is best for Pears to eliminate high-fat dairy, non-organic products (due to how the pesticides affect hormones), caffeine, alcohol, and unfermented soy.

Come back next week to see the best way to eat if you are an Inverted Pyramid or Hourglass shape.
