Dr. Michael Gubnitsky, clinic director, was born and raised in New Jersey, where he completed his B.S. in bilogy at Upsala College, a private college no longer in existence. For the next 9 years, he trained and raced standardbred harness race horses and, a hobby of flying working his way up to his multiengine commercial instrument rating. The horse stable work turned out to be 16 hour days and after experiencing a trip to the chiropractor and, also seeing a chiropractic horse adjustment, his eyes were open to a new career. In 1986, he graduated and received his D.C., Doctor Of Chiropractic degree from the prestigious, fountain head school, Palmer College of Chiropractic, where chiropractic was first born, in 1895.
Since then, Dr. Gubnitsky has practiced 30 years, 1 year in South Carolina, 13 years in Florida, 13 years in Colorado and 3 years in the Lone Star state. His hobbies include snow skiing and jogging.
Dr. Gubnitsky has a passion about chiropractic, watching patient lives transformed, through his work involving the nervous system with the premise of, when there is nerve interference, it will ultimately affect the function of the nerve, and the function of wherever it goes. He has worked with patients as young as new born babies, extensive children and patients up to and including age 98. “I have literally seen miracles,” says Dr. Gubnitsky, “with children’s fevers broken, ear infections cleared up, years of migraine headaches cleared up, bowel movements after days of constipation, a lady with foot drop gain control of her foot, and probably many others that were never reported.”
Dr. Gubnitsky’s mission, is in line with The Joint Chiropractic Place’s mission, “To improve the quality of life in our community through routine and affordable chiropractic care.”
A Houston area native and devoted father, Doctor Walter Cook D.C. is a proud Texan and feels privileged to serve as your chiropractor of choice. Doctor Cook was introduced to chiropractic by a fellow church member in a quite casual way, as this soon to be chiropractic peer felt Walter had all the attributes necessary to help those in need of chiropractic care.
After touring several chiropractic offices and seeing the holistic, non-invasive methods in leveraging the body’s natural abilities to heal, recover and remain optimally functional, Doctor Cook shared the belief of his friend and chose to pursue a career in chiropractic. He then went on to attain his required sciences degree and eventually graduate from Texas Chiropractic College in December of 1986.
His successes and abilities caught special attention during this time as he was selected to partake in additional training and education through the motion palpation institute where he acquired more advanced techniques in spinal and extremity manipulation order to be proficient in his chosen profession. Call and schedule an appointment to see Doctor Cook at either the Woodlake Square or Memorial at Kirkwood clinic today.
